One night late after Wendys closed I went to the attached gas station for coffee. I went to use the washroom which us inside the gas station but controlled by Wendy's. There was a young Male teen cleaning the bathroom. He told me I could not go in. I asked I could just go in for a moment and he said there was bleach on the floor and he did not want to do it again. I waited. When he was done I asked if I could go in and he had earbuds in his ears and ignored me. I raised my voice and he still did not acknowledge me. Then with me standing there he locked the bathroom door still ignoring me and walked away. I raised my voice to be heard over the earbuds to no avail. He pulled down the partition and walked away. I called him an "ahle. He heard that and a female came to the partition. I told her he had completely ignored me as I needed to use the bathroom. Said it was closed. I asked why and she said that it belonged to Wendy's and they locked it up at night which was untrue as I frequent that station late at night for coffee and the restroom is open. I told her that was ridiculous and that she was being rude. She then called me a "prck. I asked for the manager and she said she was the manager. I asked her name and she said it was "Cat" no further info. I was getting frustrated when the clerk at the gas station came over with a key, told her I was ok and a regular and opened the door to the restroom. Granted ..I should not have called the kid an ah*le but he purposely ignored me and arrogantly locked the bathroom door while I was waiting the enter. Arrogant, disrespectful teenagers including the purple haired "manager" might want to show a little more respect to a Senior veteran. (I had a military vet patch on my jacket) I will admit to my poor choice of words but to be arrogantly and purposely ignored got me angry. Then for the manager to be similarly arrogant and rude to the point of returning my poor response with a calculated equally unacceptable response leaves much to be desired in the training of these two individuals. I have been at that location several times and have always been treated well and with respect. I would caution Wendy's not to let two disrespectful employees ruin the stores reputation. I will probably not frequent that establishment again. I have worked with the public and disrespecting customers is a sure way to get an over reaction as in my case. This kid had a bad attitude and the manager instead of mitigating the situation decided to escalate it. The employee from the gas station did a good job. All that was needed was access to a bathroom and...
Read moreHonestly, if I could give this restaurant 0 stars, I would. Horrible, horrible service. We figured this would be a great place to take a break from the interstate and get expected Wendy's service. My advice STEER CLEAR! The staff was horribly equipped to serve fast food. My party ordered 6 Frosty's, and the clerk said "your order's ready" but only had 3 of the Frosty's (which were prepared 1st), before our meals I might add. Then, as our meals were being prepared, instead of folding the paper bags closed, or keeping them near the Iine to stay hot, there they sat, on the counter, some for 10-15 minutes while the other orders were being prepared. Oh, and by the way, be prepared to order at the kiosk. Because, even though there were at least 10 people behind the counter, no one was taking orders (sign placed to reflect this). If you're expecting the high quality standards of good customer service that Wendy's is known for, you won't find it at...
