Was there earlier today, took my brother for his birthday dinner/lunch. We got there and nobody greeted us at the door which IMO isn’t a big deal at all, it’s just I’ve been out to places where they greet their customers and they didn’t here. Anyhow we got a table pretty quick it was moderately busy right around 2 o clock so they were a bit busier than expected. Our server was nice and all but she didn’t seem very adamant about serving us she was just kinda like here’s your drinks and that’s one of the few times we saw her. We ordered some appetizers from the small portable computers they put on all the tables, which is pretty cool, and about 8-10 minutes after we ordered some steak casadillas and some siracha shrimp the waitress had greeted us for he first time and of course after she got our drinks we ordered our entree’s. I’d say we waited about a half an hour and our entree’s came out before the appetizers did... I ordered the brunch burger with no onions and an extra patty my brother, ordered the sirloin, medium well, with some mashed potatoes. My burger didn’t have two patties just one and my brother got fried potatoes instead of mashed with a medium rare sirloin. They had made a mistake and gave my brother the wrong plate but they did actually make the potatoes so they came out very quickly and he didn’t really mind the medium rare steak so we didn’t mention it. I told them about the burger and the apettizer miscues and they were rectified accordingly. The food was outstanding not only did I get to keep the burger they hadn’t put an extra patty on but I also got a fresh burger right off the grill hat had two extra patties and not more than 5-10 minutes after I received my new burger did the appetizers arrive which was wierd because naturally you have your appetizers first, but eh, it wasn’t a big deal. I was also greeted by the main chef and the manager who rectified their mistakes as quickly as possible which was nice. I wasn’t in a hurry and as I mentioned the food was outstanding. The waitress offered us a free meal, saying we didn’t have to purchase the food we ate, but I passed because although the service wasn’t great at first I was satisfied with my experience there at the end of the day and we all had a good time. Appearance wise, the place needs an update. The television sets there are hardly watchable and it seems like a repeating occurrence that every time I go to Applebee’s there is a miscommunication with the cooks/servers and the computer system they have in place. Other than that Applebee’s is usually a great time that I’d recommend to anybody that can afford it. Service...
Read moreFree standing building. Parking on site with handicap parking in front of building and wheelchair accessible entrance. Inside building a little dated, could focus more on cleanliness. Some staff were pleasant but most weren't too friendly. Food was mediocre and disappointing. Bar server described the chicken salad differently than what was served. Chicken not cut into bite sized cubes as she described and not at all what was pictured in the menu either. Chicken was dry and barely cut through into chunky strips. Tasted very processed, almost bland. Struggled to eat a quarter of my plate. My palate had enough! Ordered their dry red, large pour to salvage my dining experience there. Bar server was loud, cursing quite a bit, I over heard inappropriate conversations and behavior toward other customers she was friendly to. I didnt want to hear other people's conversations...Yes, she was that loud. I went to dine in between running errands to relax and unwind, not to experience such poor behaviors. She was complacent and laughed when she realized she didnt charge a gentleman for a couple beers when he checked out. What surprised me was that she told him she didnt care and not to worry about it. Conduct and decisions like these costs this establishment money and their profits plummet. What's worse about her is she did it with another group of customers afterwards as well. She's quite, let's just say, energetic, and becomes complacent. Her errors will cost this store to lose a lot of money and it will reflect on the manager in charge when they do inventory and crunch the numbers. My experience that afternoon was shocking, disappointing and disturbing. I'm not a fan. I've been to other Applebees and never have I witness, experienced such behaviors at other store locations. Other than that bar server's conduct, Applebees Zanesville is an alright place to dine. Bon appetit and...
Read moreI used to absolutely love Applebee's. It's been about 6 months since I've been there. My wife and I went there for a small informal anniversary dinner. We normally get the two for whatever deal. I ALWAYS get a ribeye, because that's my meat of choice. Well, ribeye is no longer an option, but sirloin is, so if I wanted steak, that was my route. I ordered medium-rare as did my wife, she got the exact same meal. Mine was cooked a little more than medium and very chewy. We were both hungry and didn't want to wait, so we just dealt with it and didn't complain.....I realize that's on us, but the point is, our order was way over cooked and the waitress never once came back and asked how it was. She did keep bringing refills on the drinks and setting them on the table as she passed by without asking if we wanted more, though. As my other reviews point out, I truly don't expect a correct food order anywhere any more and am pleasantly surprised on the rare occasion that it happens.
Impressive attempt, I will give that to you. I tried to hold and copy the link on my phone, but the link will not allow that action. I opened my browser and typed the URL in that was given and the message that my review could not be pulled up. More instructions were given on how to pursue this further. I admit that should I had wanted action, I should have talked to the manager then, but I just wanted a peaceful anniversary dinner and to go home. It wasn't worth the conflict. At this point I'm just trying to leave a review, not receive anything for free. I'm done trying multiple ways of finding the cheese at the end of the maze. You are aware of the problem, the solution is...
