My wife and our 3 kids stopped at this location for dinner last week. We were excited to experience the brand-new facility.
Atmosphere: The new building has a very modern feel, both inside and out. The dining room was very clean and well maintained.
Ordering: When you enter the store, you are greeted with the option to order using a kiosk or in person. We opted to use the kiosk as there were already a few customers in line, and children have the potential to quickly become impatient. Using the kiosk was a seamless experience and very convenient. Once we had submitted our order, I was able to use a contactless pay option.
Wait Time: From the time we placed our order to the time our food was ready, it was approximately 8 minutes. I felt this was perfectly acceptable for the number of customers in both the dining room and the drive-thru.
Food Quality and Accuracy: We received our order with total accuracy. Nothing was incorrect or missing. The food was all hot, fresh, and tasted great. The Coke Freestyle machine is always a great touch for added variety.
Customer Service: The staff working in the kitchen and at the register were all very professional and polite. They all seemed to be focused on their work and keeping good speed of service times.
Restrooms: This new facility offers two restrooms. Both are labeled as “Family Restrooms” and feature a single toilet and sink behind a locking door.
Kid Friendliness: I have a 3-year-old as well as a set of twins that are under a year old. Just as it always happens, one of the twins needed to be changed while we were there. Neither of the “Family Restrooms” are equipped with a baby changing station. There also isn’t any counter space that could be utilized. I feel it is unacceptable for a “Family Friendly” restaurant that was just re-built, to not have at least one restroom offering a changing station. When I realized that they did not have a baby changing station in either restroom, I approached the employee working the register and requested to speak with a manager. She confirmed she understood my request and proceeded to locate her manager. When the manager approached the front counter, she looked directly at me and said, “Thank you for choosing Wendy’s, how can I help you”? I responded, “I just have a quick question for you”. Upon hearing this, she made an annoyed face and put up a finger, indicating that I needed to wait a minute. She then pushed a button on her drive-thru headset and said, “Sorry about that, I will be right with you”. In no way did she indicate that she was speaking to another customer through her headset when she first walked up to me. Once I confirmed that she was truly ready to talk to me, I asked, “Am I to understand that neither of your “family” restrooms have a baby changing station”? She argumentatively replied, “Nope, we don’t have one. I don’t know what to tell you, but I didn’t design or build this facility”. I understand that I asked a rhetorical question, but the manager did not need to be so defensive and dismissive. I was not under the impression that she designed or built the building, I was voicing my concern for an obvious shortcoming for the family-friendly restaurant. I asked the manager where I should change my son’s diaper. She just stared blankly at me. I then informed her that since there is not a designated baby changing station provided, I would be changing his diaper on the bench at our table. I asked her if that was acceptable, to which she responded, “Uh, I guess. Just use the bench at the table in the back corner. Nobody ever sits over there”. I then took my son to the bench that she requested I use. I changed his diaper, and we left.
Summary: Overall, the visit was great. The food and staff were amazing. The facility was clean and welcoming. I am disappointed in Wendy’s for not making it standard for all their locations to have a baby changing station. I am disappointed in the manager for not being understanding, compassionate, or...
Read moreNot only did we have to wait forever to get our order, the food was wrong and the employees were rude and unfriendly. We had a mobile order, which I thought one of the perks of that was faster service but that is definitely not the case here. And they weren't busy, 1 car was just leaving the drive thru when we pulled up and one person was in the dining room but was already eating. Anyway we had to pull up and wait. Which fine, I wasn't in a hurry, not that big a deal. It was the employees attitudes that makes you annoyed. The girl at the window was mildy friend but the lady that brought our food out after we had to pull up and wait, what a rude lady. She was a thin, older woman would walked with a bit of a limp or something came out with out bags balled up in her first. I smiled at her and she didn't even acknowledge my existence. Just handed me my bags, almost making me drop one, no apology for the wait or thank you. Literally not one single word was said. We quickly looked at our order and it all seemed to be there so we headed home never thinking to check the food was made right. We ordered several of our sandwiches with lettuce buns and they only used a single piece of lettuce on the bottom, nothing on the top on All our sandwiches. We ordered 2 GRILLED chicken sandwiches only top find out when we got home they were breaded. You'd think it would be obvious if you want L buns you probably aren't getting breaded chicken. Anyway, the receipt was right, it showed grilled but we're given the wrong thing. $6 sandwiches wasted and 2 people with no meal. My husband got fries and chicken nuggets and you would have thought after the wait they would be piping hot...cold as could be. No attention to details and severely lacking...
Read moreThey definitely up thier game when it comes to the taste of the food and not just wanting to go there just for the frosty's. I absolutely love the fact that you can still get salads here as alot of fast food has done away with, however if your looking for something tasty, filling and not so healthy then I suggest getting a Baconator; if that for some reason is not enough thier chicken nuggets with cheese sauce and a sweet tea or one of the lemonades make it into a great meal. I also very much enjoy that it's the only fast food that I know of the serves bake potatoes, however they are very pricey (which actually goes for alot of things on thier menu); infact that and also the fact that they turn away our business a few times when we went in to try to get take out because they didn't lock the door in time... is why they got only a 3 star...
