Capri Pizza & More — Restaurant in Zephyrhills

The owners are the nicest. They make me feel welcomed. The pizza is great. There is one older lady that works there that makes us feel unwelcomed. She's rude. I made an online order on Friday. We went in and were told it wasn't ready. We sat down to wait. Although they were busy, they kept saying 45 minutes for the wait to every customer that kept coming in. After 52 minutes, I went back up to the counter to tell them it's been more than 45 minutes. Needless to say she ignored my presence. Another employee addressed me. They all seemed concerned for the delay except her. They did find my order sitting on top of other boxes of pizza. I had used the Slice App for the first time. I overheard the owner say "slice" and I thought he said I ordered a slice. I said "no. I ordered a medium cheese". The rude lady got upset and yelled "Slice! That's the app you used!". I was given my pizza and it was cold. I love the pizza and the owner but hate going there to deal with her. Oh yeah. I almost forgot.. as my husband and I were waiting, there was an old couple sitting near us. She obviously knew them because she said "if another customer comes through that door, I'm going to punch them in the face ". Also another time we got there 20 minutes before closing. She was clearly annoyed and was sweeping and mopping very close to us. The cleaning solution smell was so strong, we had to hurry up and leave. I don't wish bad on anyone. I pray there is a divine intervention and her treatment of others makes a change...

Update: August 2025, they have made a few changes, raised prices, took away the medium size & lowered the amount of topping on our favorite stuffed pizza. We normally come in every few months. Haven't needed to update the review since a year ago, but since these changes not sure we will be back. With the medium stuffed pizza & 12 knots it was $20+, now with large only available & 12 knots it's $40+. With the fewer topping it's not worth the money! It's a real shame, girlfriend loved this place & so did I. Guess we will be going to the pizza buffet more!

August 2024, We got the medium stuffed pizza with the same topping as July & and 12 Garlic Knots. This place is amazing. I love coming here!

July 2024, great little place. We were going to order Pizza Hut, but they jacked up the prices. So we came here & I'm so glad we did, not as expensive, great food, staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Lady gave us 2 togo menus told us to have a seat & pick what we would like. We ended with 12 garlic knots, which are to die for stuffed pizza, tiramisu, & a cannoli. Stuffed pizza comes with 3 topping, and we got pepperoni, sausage, & mushrooms. It was not the norm on pizza selections, but it was really good. Also, the pizza sauce is up on the side, so it makes it easier to have more, less, or not at all. On March 5th I picked up a pie from Capri Pizza on my way home from work as I had done many times over several years. When I arrived home we were unable to eat the pizza due to the bottom crust being severely burned. I called the store and spoke to the owner who offered to replace the pizza at no charge the next time I came in. I even text messaged a picture of the burnt pizza. I get it sometimes these things happen and I was satisfied with the offer to replace the pie on a future visit. Since March 12th I had been hospitalized on two separate occasions for sepsis and acute renal failure for which I almost died. I am home doing better now but I am on a picc line until April 13th. So today I was in the mood for a delicious pie so I called Capri pizza to place an order for my free replacement pie. I spoke to two different people and they acted like they didn't know me or anything about owing me a replacement pie. That was very uncomfortable and embarrassing for me. So the end of the story is they did not honor their word and now I must find another pizza restaurant to patronize. I guess I should have realized there was a statute of limitations on their promise to replace the unedible burt pie...
