Decided to give Zionsville Pizzeria a decent rating. I almost gave it a two, but I honestly feel like I would give this Pizzeria a second chance because as a whole the food was good, but the selection sucked and service wasn't much to rave about either. Not even 2 full pizzas to pick from during the almost 1hr we were there with 2 other tables doing buffet.
I went to the lunch buffet today (5/5/2019) around 1:15pm with my parents. I am new to the area and received a coupon for the buffet which the buffet ran $8.99 originally. If I were a new customer that had to pay that price with what was on the "buffet"... I would have been upset and probably wouldn't have come back.
There were 3 breadsticks left along with half of a veggie pizza and a couple slices of cheese pizza left.... that was it for the first 10 minutes.... they then brought out a half pepperoni/half meat combo pizza (which our table and two other tables went up to get)... there was 1 slice of cheese pizza left from 1:30pm on (buffet closes at 2 pm)... we kept getting told there are "pizzas" and breadsticks coming shortly. We ended up eating more salad than pizza, which was fine because we had two free buffets and only had to pay for 1. At 2:07pm, everyone else had left and we were just finishing up at our table.... the waitress brought a half pepperoni/half cheese and order of breadsticks. It didn't make any sense to even put it on the buffet when everyone there for a buffet was done.
I also asked for a menu which our waitress said she would go print one off... waited 10minute until a couple came in. It was like she forgot... came out when the couple came in and said there was some technical difficulties to just get it off the internet... which wasn't an issue, just added to the frustration... just over all very poor experience.
They might have been short handed or something... not sure, but willing to give this place another shot... because what pizza we did have was good and the one breadstick I did have was amazing. I just hope I have a better...
Read moreWow, what a horrible experience! We ordered two pizza’s,two breadstick orders and two cheese stick orders which came to $77, ok for a locally owned pizza restaurant. I don’t mind paying for what should be premium food. We ordered at 5:40 and told it would be about an hour and the address is less than three miles from the restaurant, no problem an hour is expected on a Sunday evening. After several calls the order showed up at 7:50 well over two hours later. The food was not only cold, but stale. Sad sad sad, don’t really understand how these folks stay in business. We bypassed the chain restaurants to spend and keep our money local, big mistake. It was horrible and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. IF could rate them a zero I would. If you do decide to order from these folks, I would go and pick your order up. What a waste of $77 not including the tip. Really made me upset when they told us the order would be there in 5 minutes and it was 40 minutes later when it showed up....
Read moreMy wife was gone this evening so I thought I’d take the kids to someplace new to us and of course they wanted pizza. We enter the place around 5:30 on a Saturday night and their was only one other couple that was their with 2 little kids and no pizza on the buffet. The waitress said the pizzas will be out shortly. When they came out the other couple was also waiting for them to bring pizza out. We wait a bit longer and they brought out a couple more pizzas. The quality of the pizzas were decent. They only put mediums on the buffet.so the other table basically consumed the first (1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni) pizza. They brought out two more shortly after. We were almost done eating by the time we received our drinks. When the bill arrived it was $49 for me and the kids. Gave the waitress my credit card and noticed a $2.00 processing fee for using a credit card. Many places prefer the use of credit cards so they don’t have a lot of cash on hand and have to do bank...
