Read moreMy wife and I were excited to try Noah Grant’s as we just moved to Zionsville and it was our anniversary. We had a nice warm welcome into the restaurant and we were impressed by the interior design and ambiance. Our server was kind.
I’m not sure if the chefs were having an off night, but sadly the food was sub par.
The Lobster Cargot was so overcooked that it was beyond rubbery - it was hard to chew. The melted cheese was solidified making it difficult to cut away with each piece of lobster. The Spicy Tuna and Fire Breathing Dragon rolls were uninspiring. They were spicy which was good, but beyond the heat, there wasn’t too much flavor. We ordered the Salmon which was overcooked as well. It broke a part into small pieces when cutting with a fork. The Lobster Tail I ordered was also rubbery and over cooked, though less so than the Lobster Cargot.
On a good note, the Cowboy Ribeye was perfectly cooked to order and the Oreo Cheesecake they gave us for free was delicious. The wine we ordered was great as well.
We aren’t ones to complain at restaurants or send back a plate unless the staff is rude or the food is literally inedible. While our server was kind, they did not ask us how the meal actually was until the very end. When asked, we told them the truth and they offered to comp us, but we declined that and opted to pay full price. Instead, we asked that the server promise to relay our feedback to the chefs and management.
We are willing to give Noah Grant’s another shot because people rave about it, but something was definitely off. Hopefully this was an...
Read moreWow, I think this has become one of my top spots in Indy. The seafood is incredibly fresh and delightful. As an East Coaster, we always have low expectations when we go into a seafood place, but they exceeded every taste we had hoped for. For starters we had the amazing mussels and wow!!!!!!!!!!!! Get them! Then we moved onto the crisp wedge salad and butternut squash soup, so many flavors! Next we ordered oysters, not knowing how long the main course would take and how can you resist oysters on the half shell from the East AND West coast?? We got two oysters of each type of oyster available. The Fanny Bay and Savage Blonde oysters were so flavorful, I highly recommend them. If you look at the pictures as well, just look at how beautiful the shells are as well, with the barnacles. Gorgeous. Now, let's get into the main courses. My husband and I both had scallop dinners. My husband got the Seafood Risotto and I got the Massachusetts Scallop Boat. HANDS DOWN THE BEST SCALLOPS I'VE HAD IN THE MIDWEST. The atmosphere was lovely, the modern seafood house feel was comforting like our home in Maryland and the food is just exquisite. Excellent job, we cannot wait to...
