Varuna Gezgin Cafe - İstanbul — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

My first visit was not very good service wise. I still decided to take my friends back there for a night out since they have a nice terrace to spend time at. They brought everyone’s food after exactly an hour. Forgot to bring mine and my boyfriend’s. Been literally running around to find someone to take care of it. No one was responsible and when i tried to track down and check my order again for the 100 th time, the waitress (with the lip piercing) almost screamed at me that we never ordered a pizza in the mist rude way possible. I tracked the manager down to talk to him, he said i can wait for another 15 minutes since they forgot to cook it all together but by this time, all my friends were done with their food for half an hour and were ready to leave. They had a baby too so it wasnt easy to just hang around for nothing. The manager did not even make the waitress to apologize for such a rude behaviour and shouting and me and my boyfriend. The place looks nice but i would say dont waste your time if ordering here if you’re hungry and actually need to eat food or dont have time to track your order 100 times. The set up is class 1st found this restaurant in Izmir. We got the Chicken Nachos, fries and 2 coffees. Travelling across Turkey we where in Istanbul and decided to go back to this chain of restaurants as the Chicken Nachos we had in Izmir where the best I've ever tasted. So again we ordered the Chicken Nachos Beef Stroganoff and Chicken Stoganoff. Our Nachos never came but our dinner did . The Stroganoff was amazing .When I asked about the Nachos 15 minutes later out came these cold very rushed together not so nice Nachos that had like squeeze bottle cheese sauce or something on them and in total 6 pieces of 1/4 inch cubed Chicken with some sweetcorn . I'd highly recommend to the restaurant owners to send the Chefs to Izmir cafe and learn how they do there Nachos . All your food should be top notch and the same across-the-board not just some restaurants serving great food and others not so great . Would I visit again yes but I would be sceptical ordering the Nachos.. Thank you.. Ps everyone go try the Chicken...

My favorite place forever ♾ I know this place since 2014, I’ve been in Eskisehir location, Ankara, istanbul and few other locations, i love the stories and idea behind this cool place.

Varuna or Cafe del mondo is one of those places I’ve introduced to many many people, local or tourists. Whoever tried this place for first time after my advertise, came back to me for another location like this! Doesn’t exist any bar/pub/restaurant/cafe like Varuna.

When I travel to turkey, I have to check it out this place and enjoy the drinks and foods! This time i met with MO (Mohammad) local student bartender! He made us happy with delicious cocktails and i have had good conversation with MO.

I will return here again and again and again! I have tons of memories at this place (Varuna) good days and bad days! Love this place so much.
