New restaurant, so not much to say. First visit here with limited view on the operation, service and food, but Google is asking me incessantly to give a review, so here’s my review, Google:
This restaurant is brand new, so give them time, they should be able to refine their offering and get better.
I felt there was a slight failure when asking for green chilies from the owner – they never arrived, but I didn’t make a big point of it at the time. (They still lose at least one star rating on this topic since the restaurant was neither busy nor is such a request difficult to respond to).
Ordered mutton, bhindi (okra), daal (lentils), chicken, roti, and garlic naan.
All was good, not too oily, not too spicy (as requested as I had a European guest.)
Actually the naan and roti were memorable and this might be the reason for my return.
Wine provided by Malthop a.k.a. wine cellar is available by the glass, which is a decent plus since I do believe that there is merit to pairing Indian food with wine.
In the end the restaurant served a small plastic container containing a flan to myself and my guest.
It could have been kheer or ras malai (typical Indian deserts that have been tester with time to be something that is acceptable after a large and spice-rich meal), but instead it was a Vietnamese caramel flan. Bizarre.
Sadly it did nothing to round off a meal and nothing to increase satiety.
Overall, this is another Indian restaurant joins the dining scene in Da Nang. I suppose they want to capture the tour bus loads of Indian budget travelers to Vietnam. Similar to how Korean restaurants try to capture tour buses of Koreans to their restaurants here. So it will do.
As a local, would I come back for a taste of home and mama’s cooking from time to time? Probably not. Would I come back? Yes. I’ll be back to take a deeper dive into the restaurant, and give a proper review. And maybe I’ll discover something...
Read moreWe saw 4.8 rating and visited this restaurant for dinner. But the restaurant was an utter disappointment from the moment we entered. First the server wouldn’t let us sit comfortably. He kept making a fuss like don’t sit here because some guests might come in. With great difficulty he let us sit and switched on the AC. Then we ordered for paneer do pyaaza which was damn oily. Aloo gobhi had all aloo inspite of requesting for less aloo beforehand. They gave a small bowl of onions on the table with barely any quantity. We requested for more and then they had a problem. The server was like it’s complimentary so we can’t give you more. Garlic naan had no garlic flavour. Tandoori rotis were not properly cooked and too thick. Paneer scrambled was ok. The mint chutney was damn spicy and burnt my tongue and on giving a feedback the servers just get defensive and don’t accept any feedback and just don’t listen. They argue and just keep defending themselves. Then we requested to talk to the chef but they refused. At the time of billing we have our credit card and they asked for a 4% additional charge. Then we requested for the manager but no one came. Then a lady came to talk to us and she said she is the owner. Extremely rude she was and was loud. She was like you can call the police if we are overcharging. Where did this come from? It’s not as if we were refusing to pay. The behaviour of the staff is coming from the owner. Atleast once should give decent service and talk properly. Totally spoilt our food and mood. They don’t have regular water to drink. They sell water bottles. If you request fit regular they will say they have Vietnamese tap water if you...

From the moment you walk in, the enticing aroma of spices and cooking will make your mouth water. The decor is warm and inviting, with colorful tapestries, traditional Indian artwork, and comfortable seating. But of course, the real star of the show is the food. Everything on the menu is bursting with flavor and made with care. Whether you're a vegetarian or a meat-eater, there are plenty of options to choose from. The paneer tikka masala is a standout dish, with tender cubes of paneer cooked in a rich, creamy tomato sauce that's perfectly balanced with spices. The butter chicken is another crowd-pleaser, with succulent pieces of chicken in a velvety, aromatic sauce. But don't overlook the vegetarian options either. The chana masala is a favorite, with plump chickpeas cooked in a fragrant tomato-based sauce that's not too spicy. And the baingan bharta, a smoky, roasted eggplant dish, is a must-try.
