Me and My girlfriend stayed in this hotel in June for 4 nights. We stayed in one of the room facing sea side with balcony.
Room (Sea Side) and View The view from our window/balcony was magnificent, like one of the best. You could also enjoy the sunrise. Also the Bath Tub is incredibly big and cheerful, you could sit in the bath and enjoy the sea view through the glass wall in bathroom. If there will be movable shower curtain for shower, it would be perfect.
Service and Staff Service and Staff were excellent, tho some of their english could be improved for an overall better communication experience, but still up to daily conversation standard eg. room service requirement or taxi booking requirement. Don't get me wrong tho, they did try their best to provide a warm customer service, which really enhanced our overall experience in Da Nang. Van Dinh (from the information desk) can speak fluent english and gave us a lot of travelling tips and helped us to arrange transport to go to Ba Na Hill and Hoi An Ancient Town. Also gave us advice on places to go in the city center, and how not to fall into tourist trap e.g. giving more money to taxi driver than you should be,.
Swimming Pool and Roof Top Bar The swimming pool (infinity ish) is also very clean and well decorated. Highly recommended to chill out there. Bar is also nice, price slightly more expensive than local bars. But still very affordable with the view that they are offering. As it situated on the 19th Floor, nearly the highest swimming pool along the beach. You could have an amazing view
Location Not in central, but very close to My Khe Beach (5mins Walk). I guess this is the perfect location for anyone who wants to visit Da Nang, as My Khe Beach is one of the highest ranked beach in the world. Taxi is relatively affordable, so most people travel by taxi, even

I booked this place for 2 nights based on location. Its right across the My Khe beach. That's the only reason you may want to stay here.
I noticed that the staff is not quite welcoming. Me and my Viet partner were bluntly told that we were too early for the 2 pm check in (we were here at 12.30). We were offered no welcome drink or spa vouchers. I would think that's not for everyone but they offered others who checked in with us. I am wondering if there is something against certain set of travelers. When we returned at 2pm the counter was very busy and even though we queued up for our turn many others cut the queue and the staff just ignored the queue in place. The bell boy was courteous enough to hear our story and bring us our room key. He also arranged for a bike for us.
The room we booked was king ocean facing with balcony. The rooms are clean and comfy and offer great views outside. Rooms are great. However, the bathtub is flawed. When you shower the water just spills outside and floods the bathroom. Bad design. They offer a bubble bath kit which is extra, I have never seen a cheapskate policy to charge for a bubble bath. I find no reason to have a tub in this bathroom to start with.
Food for breakfast is a big spread. We'll thought out. But I cant rate the quality well. Even the viet choices are pretty average.
The hotel staff were policing us when we went out to check if we took towels on us. I can understand for hygiene we shouldn't carry hotel towels to the beach. But this can be politely mentioned at check in. The staff was condescending and rude. As a guest the least service metric is politeness.
Overall, I'd say I will not return to Mandila. Loads of choices in the area with...
Read moreWe stayed in a sea view room in this hotel for three nights. The best part of the hotel is it's location. The main beach is just across the hotel , with many high end restaurants, bars and clubs. A 24/7 shop selling almost everything is right next door. There are many shops, spas, restaurants, cafeterias etc located within walking distance. For those looking for Indian food, there is a very famous and nice Indian restaurant located nearby. The room that we stayed in had a nice balcony, offering a great sea view. However the toilet is badly designed, with the entire toilet getting wet because of the batch tub without any curtain or partition. The toiletries are basic with no conditioner or body lotion provided. Towels were decent quality. No drawers were available in the toilet and lack of storage was evident in the bed room too. However otherwise the room is decent and the bed is good quality. They have a nice swimming pool on a high floor and a wooden themed restaurant, both with great sea view. The breakfast is decent with focus on Vietnamese cuisine and live egg and pho stations. The staff were quite nice and attentive in the restaurant. The only time I felt unwelcome in this beautiful country was when we were checking in here. It was not because of lack of pleasantries or welcome drinks but because the staff at the reception lacked the basic hospitality. They started telling us the rules in a strict tone, which I hardly experienced anywhere else in other countries too, leave aside Vietnam. I guess the management needs to do proper training for the staff ( at least the ones I interacted with). There are many similar hotels located on this street. They just need to work on a few things and i am sure they still are a good value for the money...
