Disappointed....
The Atmosphere was nice, the people were friendly, the food was good....the bill, not so much.
I know it's not a lot of money, but when we asked for 1 plate of food with 5 items, we assumed it would be between 40k and 50k. We were quoted 1 plate with 3 items at 30k. Please keep in mind these are all VEGETARIAN. We were also told that we could purchase the meat-free Fish Sauce as well for a small cost. I did my best to inform our server that we were only there for a small meal to share between 2 of us and that we didn't need a lot.
When we went for the bill it was 90.000 VND. 60k charged for one plate of rice and 5 small vegetarian items. 30k for a bottle of vegetarian Fish Sauce. When I inquired about the Bill I was told that I should have been more clear when I asked about the food. Left a bad taste and for that reason we will never go back.
We felt like we were charged extra for being "Tourists", like some kind of "Idiot Foreigner Tax". We know the prices of things, and for this we felt ripped off. Not fair, and not...
Read moreExceptional vegan take on traditional Vietnamese dishes and flavors. They are known for their Bun Bo Hue and Noodle Soups like Pho. There are a few other soupy things that I didn’t remember but soup seems to be the thing that everyone orders. We are not sure if this place is run by monks, but seeing them eat here is a good sign.
They ran out of the BBH, but whatever noodle soup they gave us was flavorful. Be sure to use the lemongrassy mystery condiment that they have on the side of the table for an experience closer to Bun Bo Hue.
I ordered the vegan pork clay pot and rice clay pot which is worth a try if you don’t want soup.
Lastly, one of the waitresses recommended their jelly desert. It very good! Not too sweet with an almost tea like coconut flavor. Try it if...
Read moreWhat a great little find this eatery is. We had a generous serving of rice and a variety of different dishes, all yummy. This plate came accompanied with a bowl of soup, dipping sauces and free flow ( drink as much as you like) black tea. We paid 30 - 35k Vietnam Đồng depending on our choices. We’ve also tried their soups - around 25k VD and they come with a plate of fresh greens to add as desired and again the tea. How anyone can complain about that pricing in their review is beyond me! We have eaten here several times over the past few days. We are always met with generous smiles, friendliness and great...
