Phở Gà Châm — Restaurant in Hà Nội

Shared a big bowl of pho ga (115k VND) with my fiancee.

The soup is interesting with sour, salty, spicy flavours. There was also a hint of sweetness (though that might be MSG).

The texture of the chicken is very different from what I'm used to have. I would say it's more kampung (village) chicken than the usual chicken (reared in coops). The skin is also thicker, with the texture almost like chicken feet throughout. Not a fan of chicken blood but it was relatively tasteless.

The pho was ok, nothing to shout about. However, with the soup and the veg (including spring onions and bits of lemon grass), the pho ga was overall decent. On the whole, I can understand why some reviewers are questioning the Michelin guide recommendation but I think there's no harm in giving it a try.

High quality chicken Phở in Hanoi. Prive is quite hight comparing to normal standard but it worths personally. These photos are a bowl of chicken wing Phở, color block style including green onions, red chilis, yellow fried stick rice (quẩy) and yellow chicken wing meat, and white noodle (Phở). Way overpriced, signs of poor domestic/personal hygiene, and trivial quality. You can find plenty of other street vendors with better quality and more seasonable price. I went there with my mother and we did not have good experience with almost everything there, espceially customer service. We would never go back again and highly recommend you go somewhere else.
