This restaurant was overall decent. I stopped by during the late lunch hours, so it was relatively empty. The staff told me I could park my scooter right in front of the entrance, though I’m not sure how convenient that would be during peak lunch or dinner times when the place might get crowded.
The menu offers quite a wide range of dishes. I went with a standard bowl of phở, which was served very quickly. I appreciated the richer broth here as it had a stronger flavor compared to the typical lighter versions that rely on customers adding spices themselves. As someone who usually eats phở as-is, I found it quite satisfying. The portion size and pricing were also reasonable, nothing too expensive and in line with what you'd expect for a typical Vietnamese phở lunch.
One downside, however, was the strong food smell inside the restaurant. Possibly due to the layout or ventilation, the aroma lingers and feels quite heavy. Additionally, there’s a large TV screen playing Vina House music in the middle of the dining area. While that’s fairly common in local spots, the volume was a bit too loud and slightly distracting.
I also noticed a group of male staff gathering to smoke thuốc lào during service hours. While it didn’t bother me personally, it could come across as unprofessional to some diners.
All things considered, it’s a pretty standard lunch spot. If I’m in the area, I wouldn’t mind coming back for a simple,...
Read moreI found it on the way back to the hotel. It is located right at the main street at the cross road so it's easy to find. There is a sidewalk area to park motorbikes. The restaurant was not clean enough, it was just like other street food places. The floor was slippery and things looked dark inside. When I was there, it was time for lunch so most tables were full. Sharing a table with strangers was completely normal. I ordered a rare beef pho and the bowl of pho was huge. The price was super cheap for that huge bowl of pho. Pho was ok, not tasty. The soup was bland. The beef was juicy and soft. Ice tea was bland too, it was like water with color. The staff was fast, they took orders and made it...
Read moreThis is hands down one of my favourite places in Hanoi. Guaranteed delicious food everytime, at good prices, with the best staff you could ask for. We go there 4 - 5 times a week for dinner. They stay open late, and although their menu is quite small, mainly serving pho and fried rice and noodles, they are excellent at what they do. They even organised a surprise fried rice cake for my birthday, which shows the relationships they build with their regular customers. Sitting on a little stool, eating a bowl of pho and sipping on some thirst quenching tra da or a cold beer while having a chat with the waiters is one of my favourite...
