I frequently visit Vietnam for work, and while here, I do quite a bit of eating. Now, most Vietnamese restaurants and food are pretty good. Being half Vietnamese, I have a particularly accurate palate for different qualities of food. This “Bun Cha” restaurant is far inferior to places I’ve visited in the past. Unfortunately, after the COVID/wuhan pandemic the restaurant I ate at, has gone out of business. So, in my search for a decent bun cha place, I’ve decided to try here. While the food and service was average, it’s at least edible. The flavor is mild, and there’s almost little to no seasoning on the meat. If you eat here, you’d have to add fish sauce to the soup base, to get adequate flavor.

The only real benefit of eating here, would be the number of people. It’s a quiet spot, and not rowdy like other places in the 1st...

Phenomenally good value bun cha Hanoi specialising in crab spring rolls. These are a delicacy that go for 200,000 dong elsewhere in the city but here they are just 30,000 for a plate full of delicious crispy crab goodness. This place is a favourite with my family and we can report that the bun bo Hue, regular pork bun cha and the banh tom are all exquisite. This is one of the best value eating joints in Saigon and is highly recommended. Note that it is right next door to another bun cha restaurant that looks very similar but which I haven’t tried. Multiple places on a single street selling exactly the same thing in direct competition seems to be a common business practice...

Bun Cha Ha Noi should be no stranger to many, as fatty pork patties and belly are seared to a crispy delight on the charred exterior, dunked into a sweet fish sauce with crunchy carrots and papaya. Perhaps more prevalent in the North, I saw something I didn't recognize and ordered it immediately. The banh duc has an interesting, thick, pudding-like texture that has a distinct rice flour aroma, topped with fatty minced pork, crunchy wood ear and aromatic fried shallots, all meshed together with your...

Awful experience. 6 people working, it takes them 5 minutes to clean off my table. I ask for a menu, a worker looks at me, nods, walks away and doesnt give me a menu. I have to wait another 5 mins just to get a menu so I can choose what I want. The Bun cha and Nem ran are fine but the juice is order is super small. I get up to pay the lady ignores me and someone cuts to the front and pays first. What a frustrating place to eat. There is better bun cha in the city and there are better restaurants in the area.
