Bar 5 Saigon — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I am from India. I was introduced to this place by a Vietnamese friend (Victor) and thereafter I have visited this bar many times as a tourist since 2015...I have travelled to almost all the countries for almost 26 years... I am a nightlife lover and love pub hopping too all around the world.

I CAN SAY WITH CERTAINITY...this is a cool place with a good ambience, to hang out, drink beer, eat delicious food , play pool, play your choice of music..and chat with girls who are friendly. The washrooms too are kept clean.

I found them to be sincere with the bills and always serving with a smile (even during happy hours).

The girls never force men to buy them drinks...and sometimes chat freely...[Unless there is a tight budget, usually any decent moral conscious gentleman should at least buy one drink (more the better😉) when chatting with any lady keeping you company in a bar...just a way to help her]..They are all beautiful in body and mind too as I've observed they can hold a conversation in English.

Yes there are other bars in the vicinity where girls are available for all modes of companionship...and AS WE ARE ALL ADULTS...we should really NOT be judgemental or hypocritical or look down on any girl..(we don't have a right as everyone lives with different circumstances...SO RESPECT THE LADIES)..Just live and let live...and be happy in life .

The pool table is free and when not occupied, I've enjoyed playing friendly pool bet games with the girls...(Deal with the girls: pay small cash 50000 to 100000 vnd to them if I loose -- receive a friendly kiss if I win) just for fun to make it interesting...Some of the girls are good pool players...and I remember a security guy was good player too...[Deal with him: only cash/ (no kiss deal😉)

I strongly recommend this place to hangout...especially for beer guzzlers..happy hours is...

This is by far my favourite bar in the whole of Saigon! Despite other reviews to the contrary, I have always found the service to be very quick, the bar girls polite, chatty and friendly and the atmosphere always lively. The happy hour from 3-7pm (all you can drink for 130k VND) can't be beat anywhere else. There are live bands twice a week, a wide selection of sport on the TV and a free pool table in the corner. Anytime I am in Saigon this is the first place I will go, and normally the last place before I fly home. I read some reviews that said the food isn't great, however you have to remember this is a bar first and foremost...if you want 5 star cuisine then go to a Michelin star restaurant! If you are looking for a laid back, friendly bar with good drinks and relaxing atmosphere then you should definitely come...

Great service, great food, great atmosphere. You're always assured a warm welcome and a friendly smile when you go through the door at Bar5. Even when it's busy (as it frequently is) the staff will find you a seat and make sure you're not without a drink for even the shortest time. Bar5 of course has a generous happy hour: daily 3:00-7:00pm, all the draught Tiger and San Miguel you want for 130000vnd. The food is superb with a wide range of choice dishes. One of Bar5's strongest features is the girls won't badger you to buy them a drink (as is the practice just about everywhere else) you can drink quietly on your own or enjoy the good company, good service and ready smile of the beautiful staff.
