Beauty in The Pot Diamond Plaza — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

**Update: After I posted this reviews, the restaurant contacted me to take accountability for our bad experiences, sharing their corrective actions and was fully sorry for the bad services. We do appreciate their honesty, and maybe this is an outlier and not a representation of their standard operations. Maybe try the place out for yourself when you came here.

Had quite a negative experience here. The food was good but pricey with small portion - though I was aware of the high price tag already before coming. The bad experience was actually from the service - I expected good service given the price, but was disappointed. Employees were not welcoming, we always had to call multiple times before someone responded, they also rejected our request to move table even though the place is quite empty, and the collagen dessert drinks was not served to us until we asked it ourselves (right after serving the drink, they announced that we have 5 mins before closing time - why weren’t we served the drinks right when we asked for the bills and instead was rushed into wrapping everything up...

Comparing to the restaurant in Singapore, this place is a knockoff. The soup bases taste worse compare to the Singapore one (especially my favorite tomatoes and collagen broth). The luo han guo drink is too sweet. Beside the food, staff attentiveness is pretty bad. Mostly just hanging around not really taking care of customers. Even though I ordered refillable drinks, I had to tell them each time you want to refill (like completely empty), otherwise they'd just hanging around, chitchatting rather than refilling your drink (the place was pretty empty at the time, there were more staffs than customers). At the end, they didn't bring out the complimentary yuzu ice drink for us, which i just remembered now that I saw they served some tables when we entered. I’ll start with the pros:

its location is great; parking at the side of diamond is easy the place is bright, colorful, seatings is spacious and it’s vibing it’s about the same level of service compared to Haidilao (they both serve the same thing, Chinese hotpots) a few broth options here are better than haidilao actually

Cons: food quality is good but pricey. I mean it’s more expensive than haidilao for about the same thing. I might as well go to haidilao (for 2 people, for me, it was 1.8 mil, haidilao was about 1.1 mil) service is good but employees don’t really seem happy, idk, prob not really a thing to complain about btw, this place has the same owner as Commas and Godmother and AmDang Typhoon if you like that crowds
