This place used to be a fave hangout but has sadly gone down the toilet bowl in the last few years. It doesn’t even call itself a German beer hall anymore but a ‘sports bar’ which is a total misnomer. They have reduced the number of tap beers to only two, they don’t bother turning on the aircon inside during the day so it is unpleasant and uncomfortable, they have made the egregious decision to redesign the outside seating to better suit watching the big tv, and they often prepare the tap beer well in advance of orders so you find yourself paying through the nose for a beer that is already losing its head and well on the way to going flat and warm. Read moreThis place was very popular the night we went there, however this will be the first and last time we go there. The beers were very good, however the food was average, we could get much better tasting and looking food from a street vendor for half the price. But the one thing that will stop me from going back there was the rat, yes I said Rat that we saw running around the restaurant, without the staff even seeing it and then running up a step to jump in behind the bar. The staff did not miss the rat due to it speed we got a very good look at it as it ran in and out from a hiding place on to the floor of the restaurant. There are much better places to go in...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend went to watch a game and ordered a lot of food and beer... then in the 88.5 minute they decided to turn off the football! This was incredible with a bill of over 1.3 million and with several tables still sitting there. In asking the manager why she decided to turn off the football (with the score 1-0) she just smiled and said the staff wanted to go home... i pointed out there were less than 2 mins to go and had at least 5 tables still sitting there... again she just smiled and walked away! Incredible! I just hope the owner reads this... shocking!!
