Worst experience in the whole of Vietnam. We have stayed in this country and travelled from North to South for 21 days and everywhere we ate at amazing places except this place. The food was cold, nil service, rude waiter and non helpful staff. One waiter single-handedly ruined our entire experience and it was surprising to see not even a single Manager. The whole place is run by staff who are scarce to find. We did not even get a menu. Taste was spoilt as our food became hard and cold. This place is popular due to its close proximity to the Reunification Palace but do not go there as this is a tourist trap. Worst is nobody cares. Even a simple request for napkins was refused by the waiter. Pathetic service and clearly no supervision from management. We left most of our food. Clearly the owners have left this place at the hands of some incompetent Managers and it’s a pity that this place is being ruined by arrogant and rude waiters who are not only spooking the name of the restaurant but also the owners. Apparently in 2016 it was a Tripadvisor recommended place, clearly Tripadvisor does not...
Read moreQuán Ngon 138. This is a restaurant that served you with authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I got a good recommendation from my tour guide Sofia to get our lunch at this restaurant. This restaurant is located in Nam Kỳ Khởi Nghĩa, Bến Nghé, Distrik 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam At the time I was eating there the restaurant seem full of customers, but our group already booked and we didn't have to wait to be seated. The menu served truly Vietnamese authentic cuisine and most of them taste good, I have no idea what the name of the food because I don't understand the language but my favorites are Vermicelli salad with sour and sweet sauce. Vietnam noodle soup with slices of beef called Pho, spring rolls, and much other food that suitable for my taste.
In general, the place is nice, clean, and comfortable to dine there, all the menus are similar to what Vietnamese...
Read moreI chose the restaurant because it looked popular, and even though I could see empty tables, a big song and dance was made about finding me a place to sit. When I offered to leave they put me in the back corner with a group of children and teens watching loud videos. This wasn’t really a bother, but I struggled to get any server’s attention to order. The Bún chả was certainly the worst I’ve ever had. The meat was overcooked and flavourless. The noodles and pickled vegetables tasted like they’d gone bad. I didn’t eat them as I was concerned about gastrointestinal upset. I also had a cocktail, which was very very strong. No complaints about that. The meal was quite cheap and the rest of the restaurant looked nice with good decor. The hotpot that the teens across from me ordered looked quite nice. Maybe order that instead of the Bún chả if you decide to give...
