I recently visited this coffee spot that everyone seems to rave about, and honestly, I don’t understand the hype. I ordered an Espresso Ginger Ale to drink in, but from start to finish, the experience was disappointing.

First, the service. The woman behind the counter was visibly unfriendly. Not a smile, not a hello, not even basic politeness. I’m genuinely baffled why someone would work in hospitality if they can’t muster the bare minimum of friendliness. No one is forcing you to serve people for free; we’re overpaying for drinks, so a little effort wouldn’t hurt.

The ambiance? Filthy. Tables were dirty, leftover glasses and cups were scattered around, and no one seemed in a hurry to clean up. I sat at a table that remained dirty the entire time I was there. The vibe among the staff was equally bad—unwelcoming and cold. If you want to enjoy this place, you’d better come with your own group of friends to create your own atmosphere because the staff sure won’t help.

Now, the drink itself. I ordered it specifically to drink in, but I was still served in a paper cup. Why bother asking if I’m staying in? As for the Espresso Ginger Ale, it tasted like coffee with a bitter lemony edge and a ton of ice. Not the worst drink, but definitely not worth the fuss. Also, the difference between the picture and reality? Laughable.

Unless they bring in kinder, more welcoming employees and actually clean the place, I won’t be back. There are plenty of other spots where I can spend my money and actually enjoy...

I discovered this cafe while walking in the area and decided to stop in for a quick coffee before our party found a table. The seating on the ground floor was limited, so the staff member, Nguyen Minh Thuy Duong, instructed us to go upstairs. Before we can even find a proper place to sit, she raised her eyebrows and bluntly remarked, “3 people, only 1 drink?” without further explanation.

When I went back to order more and confronted her, she replied, “I was just saying it and didn’t mean anything,” and added that she expected us to order appropriately. This behavior suggests a need for retraining. I have never experienced anything like this before and will not be returning.

HANDS DOWN. Best iced cafe latte I've had in all my travels.

The iced latte was really a perfect 5/5. Their drip coffee Americano was also very decent.

Back here 3 times in the 9aug24 weekend. Still amazing as in 18mar24.

Bag of 200g beans (Bean N Cream is the choice) was about 239K vnd each, SGD12.5 so I bought 2 back. Sadly they do not ship overseas (to Singapore) for subscription or single purchase orders.

Side note- You can ask the barista not to foam your milk. I tried both foamed and non-foamed versions of Bean N' Cream bean blend. Non-foamed (conventional) was better as the milk fully combined with the espresso.
