Royal Seafood — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Hải Sản Hoàng Gia (Royal Seafood) was an absolute highlight of our culinary adventures in Ho Chi Minh City. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the sparkling wall of clean tanks brimming with an impressive variety of live seafood, including crabs, lobsters, prawns, mantis shrimp, and more.

The dining experience here is all about freshness. We selected our seafood straight from the tanks, and everything was prepared to perfection.

Here’s what we tried:

• Grilled prawns smothered in fragrant garlic • Grilled scallops in their shells, topped with fresh spring onions • Steamed crabs that were juicy and flavorful • Stir-fried bok choy with aromatic garlic

Every dish was bursting with fresh, authentic flavors, and the quality of the seafood was exceptional. The staff were delightful—attentive, friendly, and always smiling, making our experience even more memorable.

The restaurant itself is clean and well-organized, and the variety of seafood is incredible. It’s a must-visit spot for seafood lovers in Saigon. We’re already looking forward to dining here again before we leave!

Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Saigon.

AMAZING SEAFOOD: TANK TO TABLE !

I randomly spotted this seafood place a few days ago while looked for a place to eat. Since it was going to take a while (approximately 20 min) to prepare the menu item that I wanted I decided to return another time. Today was the day to try this restaurant. Everything about the restaurant was excellent! The first step is to choose a live fish from the tanks! I chose a 0.6 kg lobster, and it was an ideal size … not too big, not too small. Next I chose (from a menu) how I wanted the fish to be cooked. I chose the “fried with tamarind sauce” ans it was a great choice. I also chose a vegetable item which complimented the fish item very well. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to all...

The seafood is kept alive in the tanks, which are cleaned every day (I saw the boys cleaned them up at the end of the day) Good customer service. I came 30 minutes before the closing time which unfortunately we couldn't dine in but to take away. The staffs were helpful and nice to cook for us to takeaway since they were closing down their kitchen. My garlic mantis shrimps were delicious and extremely fresh. They put prices on the board for you to see, so it's not dodgy at all.
