The Olive Steakhouse — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

My friends and I had our dinner and was surprised that nobody was there, place was empty. We all ordered 300g wagyu ribeye steak with sides and blackpepper sauce. The wagyu steak for me was just an average ribeye and if I wanted the feel of marbling,can just add butter fat which could have save me some money. My sauteed mushroom was okay, however its like a soup for me than sauteed, I ate it separately as I didnt like extra liquid to ruin my steak. My 3 other friend all had same order but I see their portion is bigger. Based from their feedback their sides mac n cheese, mashed potato and fries were so-so. Lastly, the date of their receipt is broken, i was told not to worry its only their pos machine that is broken, which for me must be fixed. Over all, you can try their steak as its still okay, but I might just prefer street food...

I ordered the Crab Tomato Cream sauce spaghetti and the Pumpkin soup to be delivered, and it looks nothing like the picture and tastes like microwaved canned food. The delivery was super quick but the food is not hot. The crab was the most disappointing ingredient, definitely not fresh. It looks and tastes like it’s been left out in the open air all day long. The pumpkin soup tastes like what a 12 years old would make using some recipe from a Tik Tok video. The portion is small for this price. And the food quality is definitely not for this price! Stay away from this scam! Just cook yourself a pack of instant noodles, that would be a much fresher and higher quality...

The Olive Steakhouse is in a very central location, on the second floor of an old building. You pass through a lane of shops selling paintings to get there, which adds to its charm.

For our New Year’s Eve dinner, we ordered the ribeye steak, and steak with roasted cream pasta. The food was excellent, and the service was equally outstanding.

I’m glad we didn’t rely on the negative Google reviews, which seem to reflect an unfair, possibly organized attempt to discredit the restaurant. Our experience was nothing short of delightful.
