Went on a Friday night for dinner. Place was almost full, with tables either packed or reserved. Luckily was still able to get a seat when we arrived. Place has extra floors for seating, and waiters are always available when you need them. Did not have much problems communicating with the waiters, as most could also speak English and were very accomodating.
We ordered the following: Fried chicken in pandan leaves. 4 pieces. Not too interesting sadly, looking for a more pandan sweet juicy taste. Fried chicken with a side of vinegar dipping sauce. Fried catfish with mango salad. Good for two. One of a kind twist on catfish. They made it into a floss type texture, very crunchy. Laid on a bed of lettuce, mango strips, sliced onions, peanuts, some green veggies-basil maybe?, and paired with a sweet spicy vinegar dipping sauce on the side. Highly recommended. Beef shank yellow curry with potatoes and onions. Highly recommended. Really flavorful dish all around. Perfect mix of curry flavor, soft beef, well cooked vegetables. If you like curry, you'll love this. The waiters also ask you the level of spice you prefer. Peach tea. Regular peach tea, it was good. 😅 Sticky rice with mango and coconut sorbet. Unfortunately, this order did not arrive. We finished our meal and followed up the order twice but I dont think the waiters understood.
Asked for the bill and just asked to cancel the sticky rice dessert from our final bill. Minor issue and was resolved easily. We didnt mind, because by the end of our meal we were already so full and happy with our orders. More customers were still arriving as we were leaving, you know thats a good sign for a restaurant.
Overall, a great dining experience. Highly recommended...

Call it the best of both worlds: over three storeys in the heart of downtown Saigon, TukTuk pairs sumptuous, innovative Thai cuisine with the ambiance of a chic contemporary bistro. Sleek and sophisticated from the ground floor to the rooftop terrace, its traditional Thai fare boasts a 21st-century twist, rich in spice and flavour, complemented by TukTuk's stylish black-and-white surroundings. Put the two together and you've got a unique contemporary fusion of East and West, celebrating culinary tradition and innovative design as one.
Bangkok-born chef Saran Jittiboonruan has compiled a menu just long enough to interest any diner without overreaching the bistro’s boundaries, featuring a smart collection of traditional Thai fare as well as several modified dishes. Though the soups, salads and mains on offer cater primarily to carnivorous diners, the chef can make adjustments to turn these dishes into vegetarian meals.
The beverage program, on the other hands, also includes a concise menu with traditional orange-hued Thai milk tea or an ice-cold Singha beer to the signature drinks with Thai originated ingredients.
TukTuk is not only a popular vehicle in Thailand but a nation icon of the Golden land. Bringing TukTuk to downtown of Saigon, the owners attempt to come up with a Thai dish that any Saigon’s cosmopolitan residents can...
