This restaurant's service and quality are so inconsistent. They don't treat everyone the same. This has be one of my worse experiences. My family stayed at the hotel so we would go to lunch at Viet kitchen. Loved the food, because of that I told my relatives to come eat with us on our last day in Ho Chi Minh City for an early dinner. It's a large party so we even ask and set a reservation with them the day before. They even told us to let them know what dishes we will order, so they can have everything prepared since they do buffet at evening as well. At that time I was thinking that's thoughtful of them. I was wrong and it turned out to be the worse! The 7 bowls of pho didn't taste like pho, it was bad. The broth was nothing like what we had ordered for lunch before, and the beef tasted like leftover meat. The noodles were so soft and were falling apart. I later found out they didn't use the same broth as what they served during the day... That's why it tasted like last minute cooked broth. The pizzas were still decent but they looked and tasted nothing compared to when we ordered for lunch. Everyone of us were so disappointed. If they couldn't accommodate us because they have to prioritize the buffet, then I rather had them be honest. Also, we all felt they were rushing us even though they weren't busy at all.
Then, I found out that all the times when my parents went here for lunch they never got the free breads they serve before the food come out. But, they do when my boyfriend and I go there. Is it because we speak English and my parents speak Vietnamese? They never asked my parents if they're staying at the hotel because they're supposed to give 10% off for the people that do. Even when my parents told them their room number. It's not about the 10% off but it's about the different services. I really don't appreciate the inconsistent service and quality of this restaurant. Train your employees to treat...
Read moreThis was the second time that my family and I stayed at the Renaissance Riverside, and the breakfast was just as wonderful as we remembered! I really enjoyed how the restaurant was able to offer a variety of delicious options ranging from various cuisines that was perfect for the different preferences of each family member. Personally, I enjoyed the local Vietnamese soups and small bites they would offer each morning!
Another notable aspect of this restaurant was the staff and service. Everyone was attentive and welcoming to ensure a nice, positive atmosphere. Specifically, I would like to distinguish Phat for not just his amazing coffee making skills but also for his phenomenal, hard work. He made the start of each and every morning of our week stay so memorable and wonderful, kick starting it with some of the best Vietnamese coffee I’ve had to date. He is so genuine and his bright energy and big smile was near contagious, brightening the mood and start of the day for all!
Overall the combination of the highest quality service and food made the stay so enjoyable! Would definitely recommend not just the restaurant but also the hotel in itself for an unforgettable experience in Ho...
Read moreI had lunchtime at Việt Kitchen before Tết, a spacious buffet restaurant in District 1 that offers a lovely view of the river and the bustling streets. The atmosphere is inviting, and the international cuisine served is quite nice.
The staff at Việt Kitchen were courteous and attentive to our needs throughout our meal. I would like to extend a special thanks to Steve, Tinh, and Phat for their thoughtful service during my lunch buffet. Their attentiveness made my experience all the more enjoyable.
Although my schedule has been quite hectic, I finally found the time to share my personal experience. One aspect I believe could be improved is the Crème Brûlée. During my time, the dessert's texture was quite runny, making it less enjoyable for me, as I have had better versions. A firmer consistency would greatly enhance the dish.
Overall, the spacious setting makes it an excellent choice for dining with business partners or larger groups. Thank you, Việt Kitchen, for a...
