Ros Yacht Club — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

We went here for our anniversary and got fairly disappointed. Definitely not worth the hype.

The furnitures were very... odd. Look like those from a Viet garden cafe, but maybe we just got the bad seat.

The service is way below what I'd expect from a place of this price range. The restaurant wasn't busy but waiters were always rushing to something, etiquette and manner were mediocre at best.

Lastly, food was well presented, but. We ordered 7 dishes, and every single one of them tastes like they were made by the same bun bo Hue lady around the corner. I'd rather they offer a Vietnamese menu than a seemingly mediteranean/fusion menu that tastes Vietnamese as hell. The desert was the biggest disappointment. I could have gotten something from 7/11 that tastes better, no offense but for real.

This place has everything to be the best dining experience. Food was great and service was friendly. However they are missing the mark on a few points to be truly great: cocktails were way too sweet music could be better (you would expect a nice tasteful lounge music but it was rather a hard hitting night club mood - not the best for a dinner) they serve all the food at the same time - bringing all the starters and mains you ordered at the same time (within 5 minutes of you being seated - which in a way seems like a good thing if you arrived hungry - but also means some of the food must be pre-cooked? - however at the end it tasted great). This might be excellent if you serve big groups of people, but not cool when you came for a romantic dinner and feel very rushed. I guess the workaround would be for the staff to warn people to not order more than 2 or 3 dishes at a time if they want to eat their...

🎂 We loved the birthday decorations and cake celebration for my mum — such a thoughtful touch.

👨‍🍳 The male server was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and spoke good English. He even helped us take photos, which made the moment special.
