Horrible service and no tables. I arrived only to find my self walking around even asking service there if they had seats available. No one seem to know and it was a frustrating because they just didn’t seem to care if you found a seat or not. After a good while I found a table I ordered my meal and drinks. About 20 mins after my order the informed me that they ran out of Egg Benedict. The only reason I came there was to introduce my friend to it. I wanted to leave because that was the soul reason I was there. The reason I say it’s bad service it because they didn’t inform me until I started drinking my drinks already. Now I felt obligated to stay there since I was being charged for my drink. The correct thing to do would have informed me of what was unavailable on the menu and checking. Ended up getting some thing else and the next thing but my hatred for this horrible service did not stop there. My date dropped her napkin and the server just looked at her and went to go chat with his co workers. No , he didn’t go get another napkin like any normal server I had to ask another person. I was never rude and tipped but my experience there highlights what bad service is. I don’t recommend this place, it’s filled with people sitting on their laptop and servers flirting with each other and ignoring the guess leaving you trying to find the one that is actually working to help you
Aside from horrible service the food look great , smelt great but taste horrible. The toast was old and was dry. My first bite I could tell it’s been lift out in the air since early morning. Inside was soft but dry all over everywhere else. It was toasted but you can still tell when u eat stale bread. Beans were cold and I felt like leaving it outside just to warm them up a bit and just about everything else was the same. Unclear how this is acceptable but I don’t plan to eat here again. For the price u pay i can find way better cafe to hang out at with a good bite to eat. Place...

History: We discovered that the space was opened 8 years ago, aligning with the rise of specialty and gourmet coffee shops in Western countries — certainly well ahead of its time here in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Space: Wow. The cafe is located on the third floor of a French colonial-style building. The entrance is discreet and stylish, leading up a central atrium staircase that's perfect for photos. Inside, you'll find a cool, high-ceilinged open-plan space with a modern yet colonial-industrial vibe. The central bar is a fantastic spot to watch the skilled baristas in action.
The Drinks: The menu features regular specials, and we predominantly ordered from the barista collection. Among the three of us, we tried various drinks, each complex and flavorful. Two of our favorites were:
Salted Iced Coffee: Excellent, a great option to cool down on a hot day. Cococha: House-made pandan syrup, coconut water, and matcha foam create a delightful mouthfeel, uniquely Southeast Asian.
They also offer special roasts regularly. I had an excellent cold brew and bought two local Vietnamese roasts to take back to the USA, freshly roasted that day.
The Food: The options looked really good, but we unfortunately didn’t have much time to eat.
Value: Excellent, especially for visitors. The barista collection of gourmet drinks averaged 65,000 Vietnamese Dong (about US$2.50).
Overall: I keep thinking of this place and can't...
Read moreThe Workshop Coffee, a location that both locals and tourists are familiar with. The stairs leading to this shop is a teensy bit spooky, but the view from stretching windows embellished with colonial balconies that pan out to the walking street below makes it worth it. I’ve got to admit, this place knows how to play with coffee and clarification. The “starfire dance” coldbrew with starfruit juice and chilli was brain chemistry-alteringly good. Though a bit concentrated, having the starfruit bring out the coffee’s fruitier facets was kinda genius. The clarified espresso with the addition of Earl Grey should definitely be a pick if you want a milder, classier way to start the day while also doubling down on caffeine. The use of spherical ice in this drink is also a rather fun twist. It’s like saying: am I having a cult-classic morning drink? Or am I downing whiskey at 8 AM?
The croissant here is a solid one. Not a dish that will rewrite the books, just a well-executed classic, though jam not being too artificial-tasting is a plus. Same goes for the cinnamon roll, although I do prefer this a tinge more, with its soft pillowy dough, and pronounced spice nuances. I’m a sucker for a glossy, glazed pastry, tho, so a little bias is at play here. They also have an attractive brunch/lunch menu here, might try that out soon.
TL;DR Try either the most adventurous, wild sounding drinks, or opt for the well done classic. Either way, you...
