My opinion: Ugly. HALAL! I don't need, and don't like this religious way to kill the animals, etc.I saw it to late, we was already siting on the table. I was two times there, the first and the last time. I order some north India Lamb, in cleared butter-sauce, but got the same then my wife, another lamb, all same tomato sauce. Awful taste and mix, consistence. May be the New Zealand Lamb (little meat) was even not LAMB at all ! There Answer was, "sorry, we make all in tomato sauce," I ask why on the menu card they have a choice, In reality there is non choice. That's not correct! "Sorry!" They charge me the full price, at least they could give a small discount for this lie. Any bread or rice not included in the menu price, all to pay, (good long rice, good flat bread.) That's OK, if the food is good and the quality correct. I can suggest them to charge the customers for knife, fork and serviette. may be for chair and table. Noisy ambient, and pseudo...
Read moreI have traveled to Vietnam a couple of times. I have been to Nha Trang twice. I am also a fan of Indian food. This is a nice place, great food, good service. A nice switch from other foods generally available. Prices are fair, higher than typical Viet food, but you can get a nice meal for 2 for around 200,000-300,000 Dong. I really liked the Butter Chicken Curry, Naan (Ganesh special and Garlic were both really good). If I'm ever back, I will stop here again.
We went 2 nights in a row, haha
PS: After looking at another review- Rice does not automatically come with it. Because not all people are having rice with curry. Naan will do the trick too, if you want rice there are multiple options for 20-40,000. Not a big deal at all. Actually the second meal we decided we should just do the naan and samosa's than the rice anyway, so Curry is ordered on its own, you decide what you want with it. Still great food, and fair price. I'm craving...
Read moreWhenever I am in Nha Trang, I always eat at Ganesh restaurant at least a couple of times a week. Ganesh probably has the biggest and most delicious nan bread in Nha Trang. IMO, their curries are all delicious and the portions are generous. The meals are well-priced so they offer a good value as well.
As for the dining experience, a couple of small things could be improved. 1) The music. Maybe twice when I have dined there, there was this Indian chanting music with the same phrases repeating and repeating. It was boring for me. Better to use Bollywood showtunes or piano jazz. 2) The waitstaff don't smile. I don't expect them to be over the moon when they serve me, but a slightly cheerful "Good afternoon, sir. May I take your order?" with a smile would make the whole dining atmosphere improve greatly.
All in all, I really like eating at Ganesh and will continue to do so. And, if you're looking for very good Indian...
