NHA TRANG VIEW 378 COFFEE AND RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Nha Trang City

The Nha Trang View 378 is one of those places not listed in any guidebook, that one discovers by walking around. Located at the north end of the beach, the restaurant has fine nearly 270° views depending on where you sit in this capacious café-cum-restaurant. There is outdoor seating, indoor seating and absolutely outdoor seating in the sun. There are bar stools arranged along narrow bar-table like counters looking out to the sea. There are formal tables for fours and much else besides, which I didn't fully explore. I ordered an iced blueberry yoghurt drink to enjoy the views. A Pacific greyheron kept me amused for some time. We walked all the way from Vinpearl Hotel in the heat of the day. We stopped here to cool down and buy a drink. The wait staff ignored us. Two tall caucasians. All the people who were already seated had been served. Two subsequent groups came in the half hour we were waiting (both Asian) - they were immediately bought menus and water. Yet we sat without any service. After waiting we left, telling the wait staff why. The response was they did not see us. I think that the wait staff need glasses or perhaps they are too scared to serve foreigners. Was a bad experience. Dined here on our last night in Nha Trang hoping for a special experience and it exceeded our expectations. The Italian wine, broiled squid, garlic shrimp, morning glory, and fried grouper was levels above outstanding. Prepared fresh, melt in your mouth.
