Nhà Hàng Cơm Bản sa pa — Restaurant in Sa Pa Ward

We had such a wonderful dinner at Nha Hang Com Ban in Sa Pa. We went with a group of people to celebrate a birthday. This was the first time we had been to this restaurant. We will be back!

The first thing you notice is the ambiance. The restaurant is set back from the chaos of Sa Pa town main road but still close enough to get there quickly and still in town. However, they have decorated this restaurant so well that you feel worlds away from the tourist areas. The setting is full of nature, so calm, beautiful, and serene. There is even a fire pit area to just sit and relax or a fish pond to see.

Because we had a large group of people we were able to order numerous things and able to try them all. There is nothing on this menu that is not good! One of our favorite things we tried was ant eggs and sticky rice. Yes, you heard that right. It is made almost like a quiche but with ant eggs (everyone kept telling us be careful because some people are allergic to ants - that is not us!) We loved it!! The colorful stick rice was amazing too.

For those that like a drink, they have a bar and make wonderful cocktails and they have cold beer.

Our evening was so wonderful. We will be back.

One tip - they do not take credit cards.

Quán này đồ ăn mình cứ đánh giá 10 điểm không có nhưng. Nó ngon thực sự và đặc biệt nữa, các món ăn đậm hương vị của người dân tộc Thái, không bị kiểu đồ ăn đại trà như các nhà hàng khác. Chỗ ngồi, không gian cũng rất là ok. Kiểu gì tới Sa Pa các bạn cũng nên ăn thử một bữa ở đây nha, không thất vọng đâu. Tất nhiên là giá không phải giá rẻ nhưng với đồ ăn chất lượng thì cũng xứng đáng mà, cứ hỏi giá trước cho cẩn thận để hài lòng từ đầu tới cuối. Mình chả được gì khi review cho quán đâu nhưng cơ quan đặt mấy lần, ăn lần nào cũng ưng (xôi ăn với lạp xưởng; nộm rau dớn; thịt gà đen; măng xào thịt hộp; nhộng ong chiên… ôi ko nhớ hết đâu cơ mà ngon lắm, không...

Fuimos a este restaurante pensando que ibamos a disfrutar nuestro almuerzo. Tuvimos dificultad para comunicarnos porque unicamente hablaban vietnamita, pero gracias al traductor se pudo. Comentamos lo que queriamos y nos trajeron lo que ellos quisieron. Nos trajeron arroz que no habiamoa pedido, con cerdo ademas, que una de nosotras era vegetariana. Una sopa que no habiamos pedido tampoco que no sabia a nada. Y la carne nunca llego, cuando preguntamos dijeron que la cocina ya estaba cerrada (antes no nos dijeron eso). Y ademas al final querian estafarnos, cobrarnos un plato de mas. Horrible experiencia. No...
