Let's be honest, the phrase "Brisbane CBD parking" is usually enough to send a shiver down one's spine and cause a phantom spike in your blood pressure. You circle the same block six times, eyeing a suspiciously small gap, only to be beaten to it by a ridiculously agile scooter. But then there's the King George Square Car Park. An enigma. A concrete masterpiece. A descent into a surprisingly well-lit and organised underworld. Entering this car park is like committing to a minor adventure. You wave goodbye to the sun and begin the glorious spiral downwards. P1... P2... you start to wonder if you'll pop out in a secret Bond villain's lair. P4... P5... you briefly forget what year it is. P6... you're pretty sure you're now eligible for a mining licence. And then, you see it. The warm, welcoming glow of a vacant green light. It’s a beacon of hope in a sea of concrete. Finding a spot here isn't a battle; it's a destiny fulfilled. The parks are wide enough that you don't need to breathe in and perform advanced yoga to squeeze out of your door. But the real magic happens when you get out of your car. You ascend a travelator towards the light, and BAM. You emerge, blinking like a newborn mole, directly in the heart of the city. City Hall is there to greet you. The Queen Street Mall is practically beckoning you towards it. You haven't had to walk for 15 minutes from some dodgy back alley. You are there. The return journey is always a fun game of "Did I park on the orange level or the slightly different orange level?" But the clear signage is a godsend for the forgetful. Paying is a smooth, tap-and-go affair that doesn't require you to sacrifice your firstborn. The final, satisfying beep of the boom gate as you ascend back to the surface feels like a victory. 10/10. Would gladly descend into the gentle madness again. It's not just a car park; it's the city's most convenient and reliable...

Access to this car park isn't the easiest in the city, especially from Adelaide St. You have to cross traffic and pedestrians. If you have the Cellopark app, your vehicle is number-plate recognised. When you leave, the boom gate opens and your credit card is debited and the parking fee is automatically paid. You'll then be emailed your receipt. The app messages you with charge amount as well. Cool. I've parked many times at various times throughout the day. Arriving early is the best time to find a park. The access is fairly straightforward. The first two levels are mostly reserved for private parking. Below that, it's simply a matter of driving around until a spot can found. The driveway is broad enough to turn into and out of parks. Access to levels is via lifts. Escalators will take you up, but you'll have to take stairs going down. The ticket machines are located conveniently on the first level at the Adelaide St entrance and Roma St exit. For city business, it's the best value parking and is only a block from the Queen...

The King George Square Carpark in Brisbane is a fantastic parking option, offering convenience and affordability right in the heart of the city. This council-owned, 24/7 underground facility is located beneath King George Square, making it an ideal choice for those visiting the area.

The staff on-site are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, as demonstrated by their advice to optimize parking costs. Their suggestion to take the car out and bring it back in after 4 PM saved a significant amount compared to the $50/day rate at nearby hotels. Such thoughtful service adds great value to the experience.

The carpark itself is impressively clean—arguably the cleanest you might ever encounter—which enhances the overall impression. For anyone looking for a reliable and cost-effective parking solution in Brisbane, the King George Square Carpark is highly...

Always a nice place to have a sit at their benches and watch people or simply how the skies look like on during sunset. The city hall square offers different vibes depending on holidays and events. Although there are times that it becomes a comfort place for homeless people, and they even cause some trouble at times.

Used the after 4:30pm $5 parking. Entered via Adelaide St (entry only). Exit was via Roma Street (which is both entry and exit point). Good central and affordable city parking.
