A friend and I went off for a quick lunch last week, and ended up at Zero Fox. Mr. L. chose the teriyaki salmon on rice, while I had a serve of okonomiyaki and chicken and avo roll. Mr. L. was happy enough with his fish, which also had mushrooms, enoki and regular, and some green leaves. I was disappointed with my sushi roll. For some obscure reason, it had been smothered in a sweet but bland sauce! I have never had sushi like this, and I don’t want to ever again. I left most of this on my plate. As the menu clearly states strictly NO changes can be made, I fear that it would not be acceptable to ask for no sauce. I am bemused by this odd addition to a sushi plate. My okonomiyaki was delicious, thank heavens. Tasty and fresh, with ample bonito flakes and sauce. I drank a yuzu lime and bitters – delicious and refreshing. It is a pleasant place to while away some time. Basically it serves Japanese and Korean-inspired dishes, and provides wine, craft beers and spirits. Orders are taken and paid for at the window; dishes are brought out to your table.

Zero fox is an absolute favourite in Teneriffe, can’t quite remember how many times I’ve been but know there’s certainly many more times to come. Food is simply fantastic, it’s fresh, delicious and so generous and tasty. Japanese/Korean fusion. They have a great range of beers on tap too. Seating is mostly outside, largely bar stool seating but some lower set tables, but be prepared to share the tables with other diners (reasonably distanced) as it is a very popular restaurant. Often there’s no tables available and they take our number and name, and we plan to go for a walk along the river, but we never get far with a table available within minutes. Staff are very chill and friendly, as is the atmosphere of the whole place. We have tried probably a third of the menu and haven’t had anything we haven’t enjoyed yet, but the katsu chicken curry is the favourite.

If you are after exceptional Japanese and Korean food with a relaxed atmosphere and great wine/gin/beer selection, this is your place. We were craving okonomiyaki and we devoured them so quickly we had to get a second serve. Just perfect pancakes! The dumplings were delicious, katsu chicken and salmon teriyaki as well. They serve a selection of local beers and have a whole page of gins to choose from. They have a fussball machine to entertain kids and a big screen showing skate boarding. A winner for families although frequented mainly by young/ millennials/couples. It was busy on a Sunday night of a long weekend and you can see why. Great vibe, friendly service and exceptional food/alcohol. Ps can you please open a restaurant in Sydney...

Title: A Stellar Experience at Zero Fox, Brisbane

From the moment I stepped into Zero Fox in Brisbane, I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance of the restaurant immediately stood out, blending a chic yet welcoming atmosphere that made it a perfect spot for both dining and socializing. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and were incredibly friendly throughout my visit, enhancing the overall experience with their attentive service.

The food at Zero Fox was nothing short of delightful. Each dish was a testament to culinary expertise, with flavors that were both unique and satisfying. The menu offered a variety of options, ensuring that there was something to cater to every palate. Whether it was the intricately seasoned main courses or the delectable desserts, each bite was a revelation of taste.

Moreover, the drink selection was impressive. The bar boasted a wide range of options, from classic cocktails to local craft beers, all of which were expertly mixed and served. The knowledgeable bartenders made great recommendations and were happy to share insights into their craft.

The overall atmosphere at Zero Fox was lively and engaging, making it an ideal spot for a night out. Whether you’re looking for a place to have a quiet dinner or a lively evening with friends, this restaurant strikes the perfect balance. The combination of delicious food, excellent drinks, and a fantastic setting made my experience memorable.

In summary, Zero Fox is a must-visit in Brisbane. It’s not just a place to eat and drink; it’s a venue where every element conspires to create a fabulous dining and social experience. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a top-notch meal in a friendly and vibrant...

Iconic Teneriffe institution that blows all the other woolstore eateries away. Walk-ins only, and such is the popularity that the place generally swells up every night with locals and wannabe locals, and generally at least one bright-eyed and chirpy first date (you can always tell a first date, because they listen with their eyes - on second dates, you only listen with your ears, and thereafter you don't listen at all). The Japanese-ish food is hearty and reasonably priced (no working man should leave hungry), and can be washed down with something from the respectable range of local and eclectic beers, while simmering in the background is a Spotify playlist that ancient civilisations would war over like Helen of Troy, and will have you Shazaming every few minutes between bites of teriyaki chicken. There is a loyal legion of staff here, some of whom are micro-celebrities in the local indie music scene, others of whom could pass as fanzine editors, burgeoning app developers or dubstep DJs, and all of whom collude like obscure ingredients in some Shakespearean soothsayer's soup to create what could only be described as a 'vibe'. A peerless spot for a...
