This is a favourite restaurant of mine in this area and one of my favourite Italian restaurants in Brisbane. Unfortunately, you can't book, which is the only thing that puts me off this place. Even though they couldn't seat us at a table straight away, they did have space at a bar table, which we could have a drink and order a starter from. I was more than happy with this. Rather that, than having to wait 30 mins outside waiting. If you do have to wait for a table, you can go over the road to delgettys, the klay oven, or Hikari for a drink, and Beccofino will call you when a table becomes available. The food here is excellent! We had the meatballs starter, the consistency of the meatball was excellent and quite smooth textured. The sauce was divine! The type you want to completely soak up with bread! The vegetable pizza (forgot the name) was delicious, much better than expected. The sundried tomato, artichokes, eggplant, and zucchini were all cooked perfectly, the dough is light and fluffy, just delicious! We finished with a calzone type dessert. It was a sweet dough filled with Nutella and banana. It was pretty good, but it could do with more banana. Staff are friendly and efficient. However, there were times it felt there wasn't enough staff to get service when needed. Once it wasn't as busy, it did improve. I can highly recommend this restaurant, I'll definitely be back!

We showed up without a reservation on a Wednesday night and the place was packed. The friendly person who greeted us very quickly had a table sorted for us. And boy are we glad he did. Where to start. The atmosphere whilst frenetic and a touch noisy also made the experience that much better. The team that took care of us were there when you needed and kept out of the way when you didn’t. You only needed to so much as make eye contact and someone would be there. But the best part was the young woman that took our order. She was so lovely energetic bubbly and even responded to our attempt to speak Italian to her. And now the food, here’s where it fits serious, seriously good. Every dish we had was simply incredible But for me the stand out dish was the panacota I. Oh my this was so good so creamy it had the perfect jiggle. Such a simple dish executed flawlessly. There’s a reason Beccofino is full on a Wednesday night. It’s because they do exceptional food exceptional service in a hip trendy part of Brisbane. Go for the atmosphere stay for the food. You’ll be treated to good honest Italian cuisine served by people that clearly love doing what they do. Well done Beccofino I’m so glad we got to dine with you.

Amazing food, it was definitely worth the hour wait. When we were greeted by the lovely Maitrê De, she informed us of the wait and we stayed nearby at another bar in the mean time. We returned a bit early and stayed at the bar, deciding what we were going to order. I love restaurants that have complimentary bread and oil to start. We had the Tartufo pizza, Cotoletta di Vitello and Maltagliati con Porcini, and wow. Absolutely divine! The pizza had wonderful flavour and the dough was perfect. The veal scaloppini was cooked beautifully. And the pasta was cooked al dente, melted in the mouth and had beautiful mushroom flavour. We had Tiramisu and Frittelle di Ricotta for dessert. The tiramisu wasn't the best I've had but still very yum. The dumplings however were something I've never experienced before. They literally exploded in my mouth with ricotta, they were sweet and fluffy, accompanied with their house ice cream was a match made in heaven! Would 100% be back again even if it is 40 min drive away. Also thank you to the waitress that had our food split so we could share comfortably - you da real MVP!

Start on the positives: On arrival we were greeted very warmly and were given a table outside which was actually great even though it's roadside. Specials were given out and all sounded great! There were 3 of us who all ordered pizzas, they came out in record time and were phenomenal, very delicious! Swallowed down with a peroni, bellisima!

Negatives: we had sat down for 30 seconds and already pushed for drinks when we hadn't even lifted the menu up. Then a minute later asked again what drinks we wanted. After receiving our drinks, we quickly were asked what we wanted for food. Said we needed more time and then not long after we were met with 'I'm ready guys, are you ready to order?'. This felt incredibly pushy and like we were being rushed out the door. We were not asked if we enjoyed the food. We quite literally were there for 20-30 minutes, now for a sit down meal we were expecting to sit and enjoy our time together, enjoying the food and the experience but, we did not feel like we were permitted to do this. The Italian server that served us was disappointing. If we had been told that the table was only available for a certain time this type of service would have been acceptable, but we were not. Overall this made the experience awful and we will not be returning.

The other servers though who were lovely and not the same as this person. I also think some music outside would be a...

Husband got the salami pizza and took a few bites and complained it was salty. He normally loves pepperoni or salami pizza. I then tried it and agreed it was awful. I'm not quite sure if the base or sauce was salty as well but the salami was super salty rendering the entire pizza inedible. Sadly we'd got collection instead of dining in so we couldn't give direct feedback on this. Mine (cheese and truffle something) was not much better and I managed to eat 2 slices. We are used to eating Neopolitan style and wood fired pizza so it's not like we were expecting NY style... it was just very underwhelming especially considering the reviews. I also found the topping selections to be somewhat lacking in creativity. Other woodfired pizza places (at least in London) generally have a little more interest like roast pumpkin and blue cheese, or artichokes, eggplant with fresh chives or fresh basil etc I didn't notice anything like that and found it difficult to find one a pizza that I thought I would like, nothing jumped out at me. Perhaps they should consider a more enticing description, adding some more unique combos.. also it's helpful if Italian toppings that most people are not super familiar with could be followed by (cheese) or (salami) so you don't have to google ingredients.

Staff were at least polite when we collected but we won't be back for the pizza in a...
