West End Park Cafe — Restaurant in Brisbane City

The best coffee, food and service in West End! Moved to West End a year ago and tried all the local coffee spots. I can confidently say, that the West End Park Cafe is my favourite. Their coffee is consistently amazing, their food servings are generous and the price equally so. There are not too many places around where you can get two coffees and B&E roll for less than $20 these days. What really impresses me with this place is its service, every morning at 6am they open their door with a smile and are very welcoming. They start my day with a positive vibe that sets the scene for the rest of the day. I ordered the grass-fed beef burger. It wasn't too bad but they microwaved it so it was so hot it burned the roof of my mouth. Why on Earth would a food establishment use a microwave to heat their decent food. For me that is a great way to ruin the food. It is unnatural and unnecessary. I could tell it was microwaved instantly because it was super hot in the middle 😫, much to my surprise. The atmosphere is alright. Nothing makes it homely or interesting. Basically, it's just a business to make money from food. Why would they spoil the burger using cheap tricks to heat the burgers? Service was good as it was a busy period when a large group descended on the Cafe at the same time. The only problem, and it's only a recommendation that the products are labelled correctly. The example I will give is, we ordered 2 pulled pork rolls and 2 coffees. The coffees were fine however, the label advertising the pulled pork had no mention that it contained CHILLI. The chilli was hot and we couldn't taste the pork and the girlfriend only had two bites of her roll and couldn't eat any more of it. I ate mine as I don't waste food and it was already paid for.
