This is a quaint little family-run cafe serving up excellent coffee and toasties. Service here is kind, friendly and engaging. They use premium products including zest coffee beans and, if you prefer, nondairy milk options from the alternative dairy co. They have available seating both indoors or outside on their large covered terrace which has a pleasant and peaceful garden feel. Loses a star because they impose a 1.6% surcharge on card transactions, which is improper and considered excessive under the ACCC surcharge rules. Almost everyone today pays with card, so they instead should set a proper menu price and do away with all the silly hidden surcharges, similar to what every business already does with GST. Also disappointing is that, while they prominently advertise their cafe as a coffee and cake venue, they do not offer any cakes that are primarly chocolate or nuttela for us chocolate lovers. Would also be a bonus if they added an eggs bene croissant to their food menu, which is available in most Aussie cafes but not here. Went on a search for good matcha around west end and found this cute cafe that opened two months ago ??! The strawberry matcha was honestly the best I’ve had so far in the area… not bitter … not overly sweetened to mask the flavor … and best of all … not grassy at all!! The strawberry puree or pulp they used was so fresh and paired really well with the matcha. Also tried their bacon egg and cheese croissant. Pretty good for the price. Their customer service is amazing… everyone is super nice and helpful. Tried their madeleines as well. Lemon and salted caramel. If you want a lil tangy sweet definitely go for the lemon one but I prefer the salted caramel. They had a bunch of basque cheesecakes that I will try next time but definitely recommend checking...

Absolutely loved this place! It can be hard to find gluten-free and vegan options that actually taste good, but they’ve nailed it here. The lemon slice was perfectly zesty, with just the right amount of sweetness, and the texture was spot on—not dry or crumbly like some GF desserts can be. My coffee latte was smooth and well-balanced, making it the perfect pairing.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I love that they have so many options to choose from, and I can’t wait to come back to try more—especially the matcha!
