I just wanted to get my annual pass cards. Because of COVID, I couldn't have a chance to go to the spark lab to pick them up. Finally, when I visited with my kids and wanted to pick up the cards, the staff said she is too busy to do it now and she will send at least digital pass by email if she "has time". She hasn't sent it yet. It's been more than two weeks.
I contacted them again but they completely ignored me and didn't reply me at all. All I want is just the annual pass cards which was given easily from the workshop railway museum whenever we renewed the annual pass without this kind of issue. How come I renewed annual pass at spark lab this year?!
Very disappointing and frustrating.
Do not renew and get your annual pass at spark lab if you want to avoid this problem.
I will contact them again and will update when they actually send whatever form of the annual pass they send me. Pretty sure they will send it after it expires. Let's see.
14/4/2022 an inquiry sent and no reply yet. 30/4/2022 Another inquiry sent. 5/5/2022 received annual pass cards with a hand written note.
Finally I received them and I appreciate the team leader who sent me these. But I probably won't renew the annual pass again in spark lab because the workshop railway mesuem can issue the annual pass...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had a great time with an 11 year old and a 3 year old - both girls. Both got very hands on with all of the activities. My brother in law was able to explain some of the lessons to the girls (and to my sister and I š) and it was fun and engaging.
Session was an hour and a half and the girls had to be dragged away from some places to ensure that we were able to see everything in time.
The staff were great with kids. Ticket prices are reasonable and decent value for money as well.
Some of the machines were out of order, which was a little disappointing, but there was still plenty to make up for it.
The first area we went into was also INCREDIBLY stimulating, to the point that my sister and I felt a bit over stimulated. That particular area may not be super great for people with sensory issues as an overall.
Iām sure there are signs and warnings about it, but I canāt recall seeing any, so I imagine they may not be well displayed.
Iād definitely go back, but it would need to be with a same or similar age group. I can see why they have a recommended age - I donāt think it would be as engaging...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExpected to stay a couple of hours, ended up staying 5 and a half with a five year old. Great hands on science and tech learning/experimenting experience. The live experiments and demonstrations by the science communicators were excellently presented at a very age appropriate level and were I interactive which always great for the kids. We also enjoyed the different topics of the live shows. My 5 year old loved it, but I also enjoyed and learnt loads. We were so busy that we didn't get a chance to stop at the craft/making station which my child usually loves. Would however recommend to parents to feed kids before entering as because the tickets are timed I don't think you can leave for lunch and come back in on the same ticket. In my situation my child was so keen to stay he powered on through his usual lunch break, however if we go again (our tickets were for mid morning) I would make sure we had something substantial before going in. A really enjoyable day for adults and kids and I felt well worth the money we paid for...
