I’m currently pregnant and visited The Wheel of Brisbane with my 2-year-old, hoping for a simple, enjoyable moment with my little one. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, exhausted, and deeply disappointed.

I accidentally stood in the wrong line — and I wasn’t the only one. There were about four people ahead of me in that same line. The staff member let all of them go through without saying anything. But when it was finally my turn, he suddenly decided to stop me and told me I was in the wrong line.

So, while pregnant and carrying a toddler, I had to move to the correct line, which was already very long by that point. After waiting again, when it was finally our turn, I was told to wait another 10 minutes. At that point, I was overwhelmed and just walked away — tired, late, and with a very disappointed child.

There was absolutely no empathy or consistency in how the situation was handled. This place may look family-friendly on the outside, but my experience said otherwise. I don’t plan on coming back — and I wouldn’t recommend it to other families with small kids or...

Attended in the evening after dinner, no queue. The ride itself was quite pleasant, with good views. Unfortunately the trip was soured by the (lack of) service provided by the ticket attendant. We were not acknowledged by the man (Damen I believe), despite there being no one else in line. He continued to work on his computer and we just assumed he was busy monitoring the wheel as it was in operation. We tried to make eye contact to no avail. We waited for around 10 minutes with no acknowledgement. Luckily the person behind us, who had also lined up for a short time, questioned if they were able to buy tickets. The attendant said yes, to which I interjected and said we were there to do the same. His response was "oh I thought you were just chatting". Not sure why we would have stood there just to do that. Nearly lost 4 paying adults. At least the other workers were very nice to deal with. I think the company needs to review the standards upheld by workers, especially those who are essentially the face of the business. Not sure...

I brought my mother, sister, her 1 year old son, my 9 year old daughter and a close friend to this. We all sat in the same carriage, its a very slow, quiet experience. Unless you are deathly afraid of heights its a very nice activity to do, low stimulation and gets you off your feet for a little bit. As we all know holidays are prime time for sore feet. I think we went around a total of 5 times. My friend who lives in Brisbane said it varys she has been on 10 round before.

Very underwhelming experience. I've lived in QLD for 20 years now and never had an urge to go on the wheel of Brisbane, even as a child. Yesterday, I gave in to my daughters tantrum and finally caved. Nearly $40 later, we are in line waiting for our time to shine, and I'm doubting my parenting skills for letting a 7 year old talk me into going on this. I'm watching people exit the ride, and not once did I see excitement or a smiling face. Even the attendants looked like botox had taken over, and expression was something their face could no longer do. Anyway, it's time to get on the ride and experience something that I've never done before, by choice! We go around once, we go around twice, and I am ready to get off. But we have another 3 spins before I could. I considered a nap, but needed to supervise the 7 year old, who also looked like she was ready for bed. Finally, the time came, and I could not wait to get off! I'd received my botox shot and exited the ride with an expressionless face like the ones who had been before me.
