My friend and I were on our way to Julius but the line was super long and people were pushing in the line, and we had passed Bar Rosa on the way and thought that looks super nice, so we ended up going there and we were so glad. The space is super intimate, moody lighting. We got a bunch of plates to share, the most memorable being the pizza fritta with burrata - amazing, im still thinking about it 4 days on. And the cocktails! I recommend the full Monty! The team of staff were amazing and attentive, we were greeted by nearly everyone on board, our main server also helping us order food that we both loved! I’ll be going back soooooonn!!!!!!

We went to Bar Rosa for a birthday celebration. It is bijou - but we rocked up at 6.00 and they fitted us in along the side bar looking out. People watching and intimate. All the food was excellent. The oysters were fresh and went nicely with the rosé. The tuna crudo and focaccia were both really good. The radicchio salad was fresh and perfectly dressed. Maybe the breaded polenta was a bit bland. However, the fish was divine - really delicate. Service was crisp and the whole evening was fun. Looking forward to going back!

Cocktails were perfectly balanced and well rounded, with a very high-end feel. The rigatoni was insanely good, and the veal was juicy and delicious inside and out. Service was excellent, attentive, polite, and professional. The wine selection was also spot on. One small suggestion to elevate the experience even further: consider adding a small table lamp or overhead lighting. It would make reading the menu easier without using a phone torch and allow guests to better appreciate the presentation of the food.

I really like this place, but a fee things let me down, which I think they can fix. Chilli flavour on pumpkin pasta should highlight the other flavours, not drown them. When my water glass is empty, i expect it be filled without needing to ask. This is especially important if the glass is small. Tiramisu is a particular dessert- sponge with flavoured cream layers is not tiramisu An Italian restaurant that does not serve hot chocolate as an end of meal beverage in winter needs sanctioning. Even if there is no coffee machine- hot milk over Italian chocolate is a menu must imo.

Having said that: the staff when they attended the table were very polite and friendly and helpful and responsive. The salmon and steak was cooked perfectly. The pasta is soft and silky and tasty and the fillings were well balanced. The cocktails are excellent and the atmosphere and space is perfect. Despite the tiramisu not being tiramisu it was a delicious dessert.

Was a but disappointing when I obviously mentioned that the birthday girl was having her birthday dinner that the staff did not use that cue to put a candle in the dessert… but anyway.

I think this restaurant is good, and has the potential...

Never coming back there! They only allowed to book for 1:30 mins . Booked for 5:30 pm, we had our order in by 5:40. We didn’t wanna rush. The waiter dropped the wrong entry and walked away we had to follow him to say that wasn’t why we ordered. The right entree came at 6:20 pm. We said we had a show at qpac on at 7:00 pm. And the waiter basically ignored us. We then told another waiter who came back to say dinner was 3 mins away. At 6:40 we spoke to the one who could had been the manager and he said dinner is coming soon. Then they put the bill on our table before the dinner at 6:45 . Dinner came at 6:50. Which basically means we waited 1 hour and 10 mins for our dinner. Had to eat it all in five mins and run out to qpac. No one apologised for the shit show. They acted like we should be happy to be sitting there. Food below average. Too many waiters and only one person cooking . Do better. I was coming back there with another set on friends next friday however have...

Well this is so overdue! Honestly this venue is my Favourite Brisbane Venue. Stefan & the team have come to feel like family as we frequent here whenever we can. The warm & welcoming service keeps us coming back, but all does not stop there.

The food here is always on point & dished to perfection. Weekly rotating specials keep things interesting, while the staples remain both consistently well executed & delicious. Portion sizes are decent & all offerings are so reasonably priced.

The ambiance & astetciics really shine through the venue, all be it a small space overall. As a Brisbane venue owner myself, I really respect the authenticity surrounding our experiences here. The team is of a high standard & it shows through their organisational skills & staff retention, rarely found within the industry.

My partner & I have so much respect for your hard work & everything you do to make our evenings at Rosa what they are! We can’t wait for our next visit & all the...
