I missed having their drinks back in Hong Kong, very happy theyâre here. They have a nice variety of drinks and toppings, I especially love any with Yakultđ
Already theyâre popular here, so I highly recommend you guys to try them. ââ [Edit] More than a week ago, after closing work I went to Coco to buy some drinks for myself and my sister. It was busy peak due to public servants coming in groups. Lining up I ordered dragonfruit lemon tea with sago, and royal milk tea with grass jelly and cream top.
Iâve never said I wanted pearls in the royal milk tea because my sister canât consume them. The staff didnât reconfirm if the milk tea was with pearls, I even showed my phone of what my sister wanted. They process it anyway after relaying the order I said.
When the drinks are done I saw there was pearls, I kindly asked if they could remove the pearls because my sister canât have pearls. Since it was at peak time (being very loud inside) I said there could be a miscommunication when I ordered.
They said they canât cause itâs processed, and itâs my fault for not getting my order right. And I had to buy ANOTHER drink just to remove the pearls.
Iâm sorry Coco, I canât continue supporting you for this type of customer service. Iâve checked your website on policy of miss-orders (thereâs none), except refund policy and your terms & conditions.
In the future, please display your policy for this situation of orders canât be change, or something along...
Read moreCoco is one of my favourite bubble tea chains and the ones in Sydney are great. I've been going to this one for a long time and I often find that the sweetness is inconsistent. I usually order a yakult drink and I love that they make it with real yakult but every time I go, the customisation of sweetness and ice always changes. Sometimes they don't let me change the sugar at all but then other times I can do 70% sugar.
Another thing that is also very frustrating is the many times I've come and the tapioca pearls aren't available. One time is okay and I understand especially because they have to be cooked (I'm guessing) but when its multiple times, then its really not okay. Can a bubble tea shop really be a bubble tea shop without the iconic black pearls? This has usually been during the day so not near closing time when they've ran out. One time, they ran out of pearls but still proceeded to take my order and told me afterwards that they ran out. To be honest I probably would've gone to super emoji if that was the case but I didn't want to cause a hassle with getting a refund.
Waiting time is also an issue, on average I wait about 15minutes (other shops are about 5min) but the staff are very nice and apologise for it.
Overall, I do love coco and definitely recommend this place as it is still good but like most places, can be improved...
Read moreI went there today and asked a passion fruit / black tea. Then I specifically asked for ZERO sugar. The attendant at the counter said: Are you sure? It's really bitter. I said: yes I'm sure.
I received my tea and when I started sipping I realized it wasn't as bitter as I expected, I thought it could have been some sugar substitute since the staff said confirmed was ZERO sugar. Then I walk away from the store and still drink the tea and then when I checked my blood sugar levels (because I was still suspicious of the flavor) and the levels in my blood were really high! Lucky enough I monitor blood sugar levels only for dieting purposes and I have no conditions however they could have easily killed someone with diabetes. If you advertise ZERO sugar you have to provide a ZERO sugar tea otherwise it is false advertisement and you can endup in big trouble as well as killing someone with diabetes. This store does not deserve a single star, it deserves not to be open at all due to staff irresponsibility.
As a follow up to this review I will consider bringing the above with the Public Health Office in the ACT that regulates this...
