Rottnest Island Authority — Attraction in Fremantle

Fantastic ranger Luke on the Rottnest island who is so helpful, kind and extraordinary. Luke goes above and beyond his job. We booked a tour with bike renting through a travel agent. Right In the middle of the island, one of the pedals fell off and we couldn't ride. After calling the phone numbers of the travel agent, the Islands enquiry line, which all said not connected, we tried the ranger line. Luke picked up and phone very quickly and helped us straight away. Within 10 minutes, Luke arrived and helped to upload one of the broken bike and checked if we all needed to be brought back. On the way back, Luke saw the disappointment written all over my face and knowing that we paid nearly $300 to the Island all the way from Melbourne, Luke took the initiative to show me the island and explained to me everything he can while he drove me back. Luke specifically took a detour to do the best he can to ensure my spirits were not dampened to enjoy the spectacular views of the Island. Luke is not only so knowledgeable but also extremely kind hearted and passionate about his job. Outstanding Luke who definitely helped to make the best day of our whole trip and make our memory of Rottnest Island amazing (apart from the Quokkas). Thank you...

Staying for a week for the first time in years. Such a great holiday destination and so many improvements. Though the Rotto brand could be improved more still. For example, there are a lot more vehicles here than there used to be. It would be terrific to see only electric vehicles including buses. It’s not great riding along behind a diesel belching bus. And having a very strong focus on sustainability is good but all businesses here should be required or at least strongly encouraged to be more so than what I have seen over the past week. Fabulous holiday destination but the reservations system is a throwback to a pre-digital era. Year on year it collapses under the load of people trying to book summer holidays. The RIA continues to pretend that it has a system in place when it would be more honest to admit that it isn't built to cope with realistic peak traffic and just take it offline instead of having it crash on opening.
