Cute little Asian cafe with cat room in Chinatown. Seating available inside and outside. Menu was good, covering some all day breakfast staples and pricing was pretty typical cafe pricing. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was decent portions and had what I consider an Asian flair in presentation.
The cat room was available to us for 15 minutes after ordering $15+ on food/drinks. We found this was plenty of time after eating our breakfast. The cat room is glass enclosed and you can watch the cats from the outside while you eat or have a coffee. Note, this is primarily a cafe and in busy periods you may have to wait to spend time in the cat room as it isn’t a big space. We attended on a Sunday and it got busier as lunchtime approached.
Cats seemed friendly enough and had plenty of vertical space and a private space to escape overstimulation. The cat room was well ventilated and had no unpleasant cat smells. Definitely worth a visit, but not what I’d class as a cat interaction-only...
Read moreGreat food and atmosphere but I am concerned about the cats welling being here as when I visited this place all the cats looked very stressed and constantly hiding. I noticed that they don't get any breaks from humans during opening hours since the shop let people coming in the cat's room back to back and there were no supervision from the staff of how the guest behave. When I was waiting for my turn at the table outside, I saw a kid keep using the stick toy hitting on the cat to get its attention as it's hiding in the box. As well as there were a guest picked up the cat which is not allowed as stated in the rules. I suggest it would be better if you guys do a booking sessions to play with the cats instead of letting people in constantly as I genuinely concerned about the cats wellbeing and mental health. Lastly, It would be better as well if you guys verbally explain the rules about do's and don't's before letting any guests in the cat's room and supervision from the staff...
Read moreWe recently visited this cat café and were excited to spend some time with the cats. The system is that you purchase your food first and get to sit with the cats for 15 minutes, and you aren’t allowed to re-enter once you leave.
However, it quickly became frustrating. Many kids were constantly entering and exiting, so we waited for a quiet time to go in, only to realize that would never happen. On top of that, there were people who weren’t dining or purchasing anything just walking in, and no one stopped them which made it even more annoying when the staff restricted us, paying customers, from entering at certain times.
The concept is cute, but the management and enforcement of rules felt inconsistent and unfair. It was disappointing considering we were there to enjoy the cats after supporting the café.
The food was also terrible , overall the cats are cute and worth visiting if...
