Made the second visit after 9 years, this time with my two young boys. Great experience until the bird show. When my 3 year old walked 2 meters to move seat so he can sit with my wife, that move quickly attracted a staff visit and told me to “keep him seated or leave”. Well, we may be wrong in the first place, as the Park’s guest I thought I could be told in a less rude way. While I was trying to put this odd feeling behind, it was déjà vu 20 mins later. When my 6 year old was patting a kangaroo on its neck, a lady in a yellow volunteer shirt raced towards him shouted “stop! Stop! Stop! No! No! We waited 40 mins for our lunch order. But the young lady at the food counter was so nice and she apologised to every customer for the long wait, which turned frustration to something positive. I hope Management of the Park could one day read my comment. Some attention to detail such as individual’s attitude toward to guest can create fantastic experience or ruined a...
Read moreThe time we spent here will be remembered as some of the most memorable from our trip to Queensland. The exhibits and enclosures were so easily accessible and quite up-close and personal, especially the kangaroo encounter (being able to feed and pet them). We had planned to tack on a couple of different experiences to our general admission tickets, but I am glad we didn't. What you get with general admission was more than sufficient. From wombats, pythons, freshwater crocodiles, red kangaroos, Tasmanian devils, koalas, emu, and many bird species, there is something for people of all ages. The educational facts are always fun and helpful, and the walk around such beautiful nature is an added bonus. The volunteers were lovely, helpful, and...
