Thanks to all the amazing members and volunteers for creating and maintaining the track. Easy to follow yellow triangles with some great steep challenges in the first few kms. I did the 16km section from Kalamunda to Mundaring Weir. Weather was terrible, some heavy rain but some clear spots. I was prepared with wet weather gear so it was fine. Note the first shelter (Hewett's Hill) isn't until about the 10km mark so stop before then for rest and food if need be. This is an overnight sleep or camp spot too if you want to make it over two days. 2 sets of wooden Queen size bunks under shelter. Picnic table inside and outside with fire pit (always check fire restrictions first!). There is always a drop toilet, tent area of you bring your own and untreated water available (to be boiled first) And for noting I was able to get an uber from the Weir back to my car in Kalamunda (weather too terrible to walk the 16kms back!) if anyone else needs...

Recently renovated, the Northern Terminus is the first or last thing many end-to-end walkers see on their overland walking adventure! Seats, shelter and ware are.all available, not to mention the shopping centre across the road!! Lots of cool cultural interpretation is in place, focusing on the six Noongar seasons. From the terminus you can access the Kalamunda town centre, additional local walk trails and local arts, crafts.and specially stores. Street parking can be found earby, or you can park in the shopping...

Having trekked individual sections of the Bibbulmun Track previously I was keen to ride my bike up the Z-bend road into Kalamunda to the northern terminus. When I finally completed my uphill journey, arriving at the terminus, there were a couple of hikers sitting in the shelter waiting to start their hike. I recommend that if you like hiking in the bush, have a crack at completing some if not all of the Bibbulmun Track, it’s guaranteed to be a life...
