This place is brilliant. If your curious about perths history then this is the place for you. You can see and expirience what it was like back in the older days as you walk through detailed and restored cottages and schools. They have horse barns, post office, train station with a steam engine, shops, homes, buses and lots more to look at and read about. No food is on site however but there is a cafe opposite the museum and a shopping centre down the road. The price to get in is cheap and very much worth every penny. You can bring your kids although they may not give you time to look...

Both kids and “bigger” kids had an amazing time at Kalamunda History Village! So many things to see: between a real steam train they could actually get into, a post office with old phones dispatch, a little groceries store and old carriages, and so much more, there was so much to see! The best thing for the kids was the “Old Time Phrases Word Search” with a map of the different places a word was hidden. So exciting! And when they had all the words, each received 2 crafts to make at home. They absolutely loved it! Everything is so well organised and with lots of care,...

Really amazing place to visit with family or friends. Great for kids to have a look at how life was like back in the early days. The way that the paths and different shops and services are set up and designed take you back to the days without digital technology. It is a really good historic village/museum that kids will enjoy. I would recommend this place for a visit if you want to see a bit of WA history. The entry prices are reasonable and affordable so that families, couples or singles can enjoy a day out. There is no real need to buy...

Kalamunda is a true gem! The town itself has a few old-ish buildings, but the absolute highlight was the historic village museum. It's got everything you need for the real experience but at the same time it's compact enough to be enjoyed by both culture orientated adults as well as kids. There are a few private houses, a post office, a railway station building, a general store, a blacksmith, a petrol station, a bus station and a few others.
