FISHBOWL - QV — Attraction in Melbourne

I recently visited the Fishbowl QV store and had the OG Chicken bowl, which I usually love, but I had a small hiccup with my order.

I requested the sauce on the side, but noticed it was being added during prep. When I pointed it out, the staff were genuinely kind and responsive. They started to remake it but were only replacing part of the bowl, so I interviewed again (felt awkward but felt wrong that they were just redoing part of it!) and I kindly asked if they could make a completely new one to avoid cross-contamination and they happily did so with no issue at all! No judgment, no fuss - just great service. They even offered a takeaway bag at the end and carefully packed everything up for me. I really appreciated their understanding and how customer-first they were. It’s great to see a brand that truly prioritises good service.

Where is the QV store located? We found it a bit tricky to find, it’s located on Level 2 of the QV Centre. If you're not familiar with the layout, give yourself a few extra minutes to find it.

Is the food fresh and healthy? Yes! Fishbowl bowls are always packed with fresh ingredients and feel clean, light and satisfying. The OG Chicken is a great option with flame-grilled chicken, cabbage, shallots, seaweed, and a punchy sesame dressing (if you choose to have it). You can taste the quality.

Can I customise my order? Absolutely. You can choose your base (e.g. brown rice, glass noodles, cabbage), protein, add-ons and dressings. I always go for sauce on the side as I usually only add half of it and it’s great to know they’re happy to accommodate.

How is the customer service at this location? Really kind and professional. Even when there was a small mistake with my order, they handled it with care and a great attitude. It made me feel respected as a customer.

Is it good for takeaway? Yes, they offer convenient takeaway and delivery. Staff even helped me pack my bowl and drink into the takeaway bag neatly, which was a nice extra touch.

Is it worth the price? Definitely. Portions are generous, ingredients are fresh and the ability to customise makes it feel like you're getting exactly what you want.

We are big fishbowl fans and order weekly from different Melb locations. This particular day we order from the QV location, never noticed this one before. We order 4 takeaway OG bowls and they were just awful! The salmon was fatty, the dressing has an unpleasant acidic taste, there were hard pieces of rice that could chip a tooth. The whole texture was just wrong. Really hard to explain but out of all four bowls we had two mouthfuls out of them and the rest uneaten. My main dissatisfaction is with the customer service I received from fishbowl support, I immediately contacted them via email and explained the issue with photos and they simply replied with if you were in store you would have got a refund (we went and enjoyed our bowls in the park to enjoy the sun)...but because I didn't go back to the store... bad luck. The QV location is in the heart of Melb CBD, not easy to get back to plus I didn't want to confront the staff in front of other customers. Really disappointing customer services, as a business owner myself defiantly not the way I would...

I always opt for a healthy lunch choice and I was so glad to have Fishbowl open up in QV! I've been there 3 times now and the first time i got the OG salmon bowl with extra sauce and it was delicious!

However, the second time i went, i asked for extra sauce as well and the bowl came out dry with hardly any sauce or salmon on the salad, which was a shame because i loved the sauce and i paid extra to have some more! Nevertheless, i came back another time and told one of the team members to ensure extra sauce was added only to have the same issue occur again. As they handed me the bowl i quickly said did you add extra sauce on this? and the lady quickly topped it up as she had forgotten. I hope this doesn't happen again as i would think it'd be mixed into the salad as opposed to a last minute top up.

Also - there needs to be more of a system during lunch hours in terms of people lining up to order or to collect food (just a...
