A naturally gorgeous park with an area for everyone and some exceptional and relaxing views. There are many nice places to sit and relax, a playground for kids, an off leash dog area near the top, the bogey hole at the bottom and many walking paths scattered throughout leading to many streets and areas into and around the city. There are some gardens and areas that could easily do with beautification but other parts of the city take precedence (particularly honeysuckle) over many of the more natural and historical areas this city has to offer. There are a few old defence force lookouts scattered along the areas that overlook the ocean, a particularly large lookout and several old gun placements sit at shepherds hill at the very top of the park near the left hand side of the carpark as you...

We loved the play equipment, and the grounds!

However the toilets were not very pleasant at all. Bottom level toilets were closed for renovations, though it seems the sign had been there for a little while.

If you are looking for a place for the children to adventure, I would probably suggest looking for another spot, unless the amenities...

Large park. Plenty of room for hundreds of people. Medium play equipment for kids probably aged 4+ to 16. Has toilet facilities and a nice view of the ocean. Plenty of room for large gatherings or games. Plenty of parking spaces although can fill quickly on important days such as...
