NEVER GOING BACK!! I go to this store on a regular basis, and I always use the car park ticketing system. One day I was in a hurry and forgot to print off my parking ticket. My mistake, hands up. I did, however go to the store and made a number of purchases. I came back to my vehicle and found that I had been ticketed and I would have to pay for the parking violation. I appealed the violation by emailing Wilson, to owners of the car park, only to find that despite my uploading of my IGA receipt for my purchases, my fine would stand and I would have to pay. I asked the IGA and they simply told me that it was nothing to do with them (They also refused to get back to me when I asked for the manager). I don't accept this as they clearly have a standing relationship with the car park owners. What frustrates me most is that I can understand why they have a ticketing system - to stop people taking up the parking bays where IGA shoppers need them - so why then, when a person who is clearly an IGA shopper at that exact time, do they not help when Wilson decide to...
Read moreI recently visited IGA Northbridge and was disappointed with how I was treated by the staff.
As I was leaving, I was stopped and asked to have my bag checked, which I understand can be part of store policy. However, the manner in which it was handled felt unprofessional and accusatory. The staff were unfriendly and made me feel like I was being treated as a potential thief, rather than as a valued customer - after bag check and obviously nothing found, the Asian kitchen staff who I've seen her multiple times in the kitchen area there, just walk away without saying "thank you" or "sorry" and she looked unhappy.
I believe bag checks can be conducted politely and respectfully, but this experience left me feeling uncomfortable. I hope the management will consider training their team to handle these situations with more empathy and customer care. I’ve always enjoyed shopping here, but this experience has made me think twice...
Read moreSophie and Dee should NOT be working in a Customer Service role. They both lack empathy and I was yelled at and abused by both of them this evening. Their issue was that the store was closed, however the time was still 20:56. After being told that by Sophie I argued that there's still three and a half minutes for me to leave the store. Her response was "that the store closes at 8:55pm"; whereas in actual fact, the IGA Website and the printed receipt of the transaction clearly states that they close at "9pm".
They must only get paid until 9:00 p.m. and anytime spent at work after that time, they do not get paid for.
Sophie was so incredibly rude she was yelling to the point of swearing and D who processed my transaction ended up including herself into the interaction . I recorded the whole thing on my phone which I plan to speak to the owner about first thing in...
