My recent interaction with head exchange has been exemplary. Without the kind and honest relationship in which Evan builds with you through his company, I would be in a much different position currently.

2 months prior to this review, I was advised by my local main brand dealership that my engine had bottom end bearing damage and conrod damage. To which I was provided an extravagant bill to repair the damage. Close to what the car was worth in a sale value.

Due to the extravagant bill, I decided to contact head exchange direct to see if I could reduce the markup applied by the dealership. In which Evan advised, he would do it for me at trade price. This removed a 25% markup from the dealership.

I agreed to the complete works, head exchange would supply the engine to the dealership. Then the dealership would supply the labour and consumables.

During the work over on the engine, head exchange found no issues of bearing damage nor any problems with bent con-rods previously advised via the dealership.

Head exchange kindly complied a report which was then forwarded onto the dealership. Which put the dealership in a position where they had to admit to a faulty diagnostic. These diagnostics had increased the value of the bill by 300% compared to the original head gasket.

The dealership agreed to absorb all labour and consumable costs on their end considering the report compiled by head exchange. They also exchanged the heater core, thermostat, and housing with all new lubricants at a discounted value.

So, to tie this review up, head exchange firstly did not have to accept the work from me seen as they had previously quoted the main dealership on the same works. Removing a 25% markup the dealership would have made. Secondly, they think about the little guy, the customer, before themselves. They were happy to compile a report obligating the dealership to take ownership of their mistakes. Putting themselves at risk of not getting reoccurring works from dealerships.

I can not thank Evan Moore from Head exchange enough for helping me in every way, in getting the best result for getting the work done in the exchange of my engine. It was never a problem for Evan to reply back and speak to me about what I had done to the engine. He guided me in the right direction to a great mechanic shop as well The team at Head exchange always passed my message to Evan, who rang me back straight away and answered all my questions. As I’m no mechanic or mechanically minded It was never a problem for Evan to explain what is what, how and why even when he had to deal with other issues he always had time absolutely no problem I’m back on the road again Thanks again Evan Moore Head...

I want to thank Evan and all the staff at the Head Exchange for the high quality of work and the profesional level in the way they handled the build of my motor . They were always available to answer any questions i may have trown at them and detailed in what was happening . This motor has now completed over 23000 K local and around Australia towing a 2 ton van and has not missed a beat . Great performer in all aspects of performance and economy .
