Lovely place to wonder and a beautiful place with many amenities around. It is relatively a small garden, but It was actually a pleasant surprise. A little river runs along one side. The water was nice and clear. No entrance fees. So many lovely photo opportunities. I never had an issue finding it in Portland. Another added feature to this spectacular water land. Suggest you pay a visit. I really enjoyed it. Catch me @volarphotography ;)

Had no idea this existed in Portland. Was a beautiful botanic garden to visit for an afternoon stroll, and had THE most stunning display of dahlia flowers I have seen in a long time! Some were taller than I am! We visited in late March. There were groups walking, just talking and just enjoying the space. We went back later in the afternoon for our BBQ dinner.

There is a bowling green in the Portland Botanical Garden! How cool is that? This grand old Botanical Garden is more than a 100 years old to my recollection! I see some interesting flowers and trees here. The famous Portland tram passes by here. The garden is so close to the town centre and The walking/cycling paths around the wetland too!

There is a bowling green in the Portland Botanical Garden! How cool is that? This grand old Botanical Garden is more than a 100 years old to my recollection! I see some interesting flowers and trees here. The famous Portland tram passes by here. The garden is so close to the town centre and The walking/cycling paths around the wetland too!

Beautifully designed and maintained little bit of paradise right in the center of town. Same designer as Royal Botanical Gardens in Melbourne. Lots of variety with seasonal blooms of color and lots of nooks and crannies to picnic, lay about and read a book, and enjoy the view. BBQ s and picnic tables scattered around the gardens. Great location used to special occasions and wedding photos...

Looking forward to Friday night 22/02/2019 (6.30pm start), Rotary Club of Portland has a free movie event at the Botanical Gardens, Portland Victoria. Featuring - Battle of the bands, food vans, popup bar, open air dancing followed by the famous movie "Dirty Dancing"
