Dr Joo Teoh — Attraction in Subiaco

We chose Dr Teoh based on his profile, any information we could find online and our instincts when looking through the list of obstetricians at SJOG Mt Lawley. We do not regret our decision, having had a truly wonderful experience from our first appointment through to our last appointment, six weeks after the birth of our daughter. Dr Teoh always took the time to listen to our concerns and covered all bases thoroughly with our questions, tests and results at every appointment. We did have quite a few issues and difficulties which needed addressing during the pregnancy. We did not worry or stress as Dr Teoh always went through everything in a calm and informative manner. He did not leave any stone unturned when working through the issues and always had a thorough plan. At times, we had to contact Dr Teoh outside of our appointments (which is done through reception). On every occasion, Dr Teoh responded very promptly by phone, calling us right away to put us at ease and provide us with advice and answers we needed at the time. He always reminded us, at every appointment, to contact his office at any time if we had any questions or concerns. Needless to say, the birth of our daughter was smooth and went to plan and we are extremely happy with how it all went. We truly felt we were in very capable hands given all our appointments and dealings with Dr Teoh beforehand. He clearly loves his job and taking the time with his patients. This shows through his lovely and caring bedside manner. We highly recommend Dr Teoh and are so happy to have had him bring our precious daughter...

We went to see Dr Teoh to find out why we were having difficulties keeping a pregnancy and from the moment we went into his office he’s been incredibly compassionate, kind and empathetic with our situation. Even though our situation came back unexplained, he still went through every tests and was very thorough, explaining every detail to us. He even went as far as making an appointment to a fertility clinic for us when we decided to go through that route. Luckily, I got pregnant spontaneously and decided to stay under his care. He was willing to explore interventions that may help keep the pregnancy, answered our late night questions and helped ease our anxieties. He monitored my pregnancy closely and even more than I did. As a nurse, I’ve never met a doctor with such amazing bedside manner and has a very approachable aura. We now have a beautiful baby girl, thanks to him. Our experience with him from the moment we walked into his office, the birth of our daughter, till my last 6 weeks postpartum check has been nothing but the best care you could possibly get as he is also very hands-on as a doctor. And to mention his secretary Natasha, has been nothing but a delight and very helpful, overall a wonderful person. She’s incredibly friendly and makes you feel welcomed! The care and attention we have received from Dr Teoh throughout the pregnancy, delivery and aftercare has been of the highest standard. We were looking for an Obstetrician that was going to be there to support us every step of the way, Dr Teoh was exactly that and more. We kept our birth plan flexible because we had complete trust in his expertise and guidance in bringing our daughter safely into this world. He approached the difficulties that arose during labour with a calm confidence that made me feel safe and re-assured. Dr Teoh is a genuinely warm-hearted and highly skilled professional who clearly loves his job and places the health and wellbeing of Mum and baby as his top priority. We found the Precious Mum’s package, the abundance of information on his website, you tube videos, research, and articles very helpful throughout the pregnancy. He came to visit us in hospital after the birth a couple of times and was always there on the end of the phone if needed. We could not have been happier with the care we received and would highly recommend Dr Teoh and his highly competent and friendly receptionist Natasha.
