Food: 4/5 Got the chicken katsu curry Udon large size for $10 and the Wagyu Udon large for $7. For their price it is really good, and for flavour it is basically on point with other Japanese joints that serve the same dishes. The soup for the Wagyu Udon was a bit oily and could be better, but overall for the price, the value is definitely there. Better flavour would be the push to 5/5 Service: 3/5 The pink haired girl was fast to take my order as were the kitchen in making the food, requiring less than 5 mins. Atmosphere: 2/5 The only letdown for this place would be the shop presentation itself. Whilst they did just open 10 mins before I got there, there were boxes everywhere at the entrance and it was very unclear where the ordering cashier was, requiring me to ask one of the staff if they were taking orders. Overall, for the value noodle Bar brings, I will be going back sometime to get more cheap eats.

My go to restaurant in Chatswood. Super tasty and cheap. Great value for money and the portions are generous. Just don't get any of the beef dishes. The beef just disintegrates in my mouth, like corn beef hash. Definitely the worset beef out of all places I've been to over the years. Edit: Ate here again after a while. Their beef dishes are still dry and tasteless, like beef jerky. But their chicken dishes are still amazing. If you get the omurice, I recommend adding a soft boilded egg on top. Their gyoza is is very mediocare. Tastes lukewarm and not crispy. Omelette rice is just plain rice under a half cooked omelette, so don't expect traditional omurice.

I am extremely disappointed with this resturaunt. After asking the staff multiple times whether the omelette curry was vegetarian, clarifying that this meant no meat and no fish, they confirmed that the dish was vegetarian. I ordered and upon receiving my meal, I instantly knew something was wrong. My boyfriend tried the dish and it contained meat despite being told that this was a vegetarian dish. The resturaunt and myself are lucky that I was cautious enough not to try it myself because I would have had a severe allergic reaction. I am disappointed because I had high hopes and was met with incompetent staff who wasted my time.

AVOID!!! Rudest staff I’ve ever met. Every time I have come here the staff are extremely unfriendly, the food is cheap though so figure you get what you’re paying for. That was until I ordered Uber eats from here, I had multiple drivers try to pick up my order, after 2 hours the food still wasn’t collected (the last poor delivery driver waited an hour for the food whilst they constantly ignored her enquiries. She even tried to put us on the phone to them to see what the hold up was and why they refused to make our food) eventually my husband had to literally get in the car and drive to the restaurant before they found our ticket and started reluctantly making the food. 2.5 hours later and having to go up ourselves we got out food. We had sick kids at home who just wanted some noodle soup. Safe to say we will never be coming back here ever again! They don’t care about their customers or Uber deliver drivers...

Update: 11 May 2025. Around dinner time, I ordered a double teriyaki and only got the portion of a single teriyaki. I come here weekly so I KNOW the portion sizes.

I asked the staff about it but a new female employee was rude and dismissive, declaring that is double portion. This is a new staff I think, so I'm disappointed this happened.

To top it off, the chicken sauce was burnt with black bits.

This is disappointing to say the least - no longer 5 stars but 3 stars from me.

Original: This place is absolutely amazing. For under $30 you can feed 2 people with a variety of delicious Japanese classics. Not only is it cheap, but the taste is really authentic too (having been to Japan 3 times). I really love their rice and chicken dishes.

I will always come here if I crave Japanese food,...
