19th May at around 9:45 am me and my friend went to the Christopher’s cake shop to get a muffin, I wasn't asked if I needed any help until I paid for the muffin. I paid full price for the muffin. She asked me whether I am going to eat it straight away and I said yes. I sat down in one of the chair as I was waiting for my friend. Prior to this we had gone to Campos coffee and got us coffee as we always get coffee from there as we prefer a campos coffee. I decided to have a muffin hence went there to buy one as the coffee store didn’t have any. The same person who served me came over later to the table I was sitting on, it was a rude staff member with black long hair and big black flower earring She confronted to us midway when I was eating the muffin and siping my coffee in peace. And says that it is extra to eat the muffin here and that it was rude of us to bring coffee from outside and drink it there in an offensive, humiliating and non- professional way. We were taken aback by this behaviour towards a customer, we were still happy to pay extra But I had to inform her that it was rude behaviour of her towards us she then was not even accountable to her behaviour. I could not even finish the cupcake and had to throw it away and left the store straight away. This is a poor service in this store I have been to other Christopher’s stores before and never encountered this event. I wouldn’t be happy to ever go back to this place. If there was a 0 star that is what this service would deserve.

I was there today at around 1035hrs. Not busy... Staff member was serving a customer just before me. A young staff member then attended to me n i told her what i wanted... 1 tiramisu cup, 1 creme maltese and 4 coconut macaroons. As she was trying to squeeze the cakes n macaroons into a box (15cm by 15cm). I decided to add on a rainbow slice...(approx 10 secs after she started packing my cakes). She snapped n told me "You should have told me!!!" I was shocked by her attitude n told her to forget about it. She said it's fine to get the slice but the macaroons will have to go into a bag. I said fine but i was getting upset with her attitude. Seriously, if one wants to go into service industry, one has to have a positive and proactive mindset. Treat others how you would like to be treated. No one needs to pay for your attitude. If not because that my partner loves your cakes...i would have just walk away.... i really hope this is just 1 isolated incident of a cranky staff

It was a totally disappointing. The staff on duty did a poorly written icing birthday greetings on the cake where my husband bought from the Hurstville branch. Imagine white icing on a off- white cake!. The attending staff attitude was rude, unfriendly n service was very poor. What a shame!!! We have frequent this branch for most birthday cakes, the staff were friendly n nice but not this particular occasion. We definitely won't be going back to purchase cakes from this place again. This really leave a bad taste in the mouth!!!

If you want to be treated poorly - come here!

I came in here today ordered the horse shoe shortbread with apricot jam. I asked the lady there to tell me what short bread they had, as I could not see their signage. I had asked her if they had any with apricot jam, she told me no.

My husband, however located one with apricot jam as he had arrived to the store after me. So I called the server over to the other display window. I repeated to the server 3 times my order. That I wanted the horse shoe shortbread with apricot jam. The Lady acknowledged my request and repeated it back to me.

I, then paid for my order, walked out and took a bite. After taking a bite I noticed the middle of the short bread was without any apricot filling. I went back inside and informed the worker there, that this isn't what I had ordered. This has no apricot jam.

A woman who I believe was the manager, then looks at me and says well why did you take a bite out of it? To this I responded because I have poor vision and most of these short bread look the same, it wasn't until I took a bite that I knew it was wrong. This answer was not sufficient to her liking.

First they had given me the wrong order, second there was no apology for their mistake. Third they did eventually give me the right item, after scoffing at me for taking a bite.

I was then told to keep the other short bread as I had taken a bite, and it was now useless to them as they could not sell it. This manager made it abundantly clear that I had caused her such displeasure. I've honestly never felt so unwelcome in an establishment. It's a shame because it's a beautiful store with lovely displays. It is just poorly run.

Was the short bread good? No, the chocolate coating was hard, and the apricot jam was scarce.

Will I return? No. Work on your customer service.

Management should be better. Rudeness will not get anyone anywhere, especially when you own a business. This was an error by the store. A simple fix would have been for her to say, so sorry, I gave you the wrong one. Let me get you the correct one. It would have demonstrated good customer service and I would have been a returning customer to try some other dessert, that I may have liked. I would have also recommened this establishment. However for two dollars, she was ridiculously rude, and left me walking out with a really bad impression.

Lastly, if you're blind or low vision, avoid this place. You'll be made to feel like a low...

Overall, I have seemingly intentionally visited the wonderful Hurstville shop almost daily for the past perhaps few years and wish to express that not only are the shops cakes/sweets awesome (constantly changing) the actual staff members (particularly the store Manager Eva & employee Markayla especially, as I tend to see these pretty girls the most I suppose lol) have always displayed kind hearted sincere actions of intent, which obviously has made me feel specially welcomed into this store, which surely demonstrates for why I love going there as often as I have and will continue. My practical daily afternoon coffee which I consider to be the absolute best coffee the complex has to offer by far,. I consider the service delivered from absolutely everyone in store, has always been with a pleasing displayed happy smiling face from all the staff on any given day, which makes me want to return to see such happy people on any finished work day...Keep up the great team spirits to the whole team involved. If I could say such a thing without getting into trouble, I LOVE YOU GUYS, plain and simple! Take care to the whole team which have always offered A+ quality to me. Hug Hug with unlimited HIgh 5's all the...
