Very unpleasant experience in being discriminated against in fish shop today around 12:10 pm, I picked up a whole Barramundi with fingers and intended to buy , and I was told “ not to touch it with bare hand unless buying it” by old lady from the fish shop , I said “ I want this fish and buying it now” while handing over the fish to this lady, who took the fish repeating with her busy lips “ you can’t touch it unless you buy it , you can’t touch it until unless I buy it, you can’t tough it unless you buy it’ 3 or 4 times while weighing the fish then wrapping it. I felt very offended and discriminated against . I said to her “ that is what I am exactly doing, what do want more from me , why you are repeating 4 times” ? Then we had big arguments, store manage came and did not solve the problems. I was so angry, and left store with all selections of groceries in trolley including this fish behind Australia is diverse and multicultural country, discrimination based on appearances, races, languages etc are not tolerated, even a little sign Coles should train its staff how to serve, to judge, to respect an...
Read moreColes did a bad job in this marketing promotion of little shopper and the staff in this particular store is unfriendly even rude.
I have spent nearly $2,000 in Coles but still can't collect the full set of the little shopper (only 2 missing). However, the staff in this store only allow one exchange (with bad face and impatiently) and the reason they gave is stock is low and they are busy! How ridiculous it is! If the stock is low, you definitely should offer more swap as I will stop collecting if get the full set! And the manager Jatinder spent 10 minutes telling me how busy they are but just unwilling to spend 10 seconds for another swap.
Coles corporate marketing department should also review your poor promotion plan. You design this promotion to make your customer happy not to upset them. We all know it is just for fun especially for the kids' fun. Why not be nicer and more considerate to your customer? It is free to offer swap! Woolworth did a much better job than you by having swap day in every...
Read moreNot quite impressive with my Click and Collect order experience. I placed my order on a Tuesday and was given confirmation for pick-up for Sat between 9am-12pm the same week. I arrived to the store at 9.20am and was told the order was cancelled. There is no text message, no phone call to inform about the cancellation but I found an email in junk box sent to me at 9.15am. The front desk lady didn't care and told me that they have done their best to info the centralised customer service team that they are unable to make up my order, and if I am still unhappy I should call them to complaint. She didn't even give an eye contact and was so ready to move on to the next customer. Revert to Wollies, similar order was prepared and a "Ready for Pick-Up" text sent within the promised time frame. Much easier. Don't need to carry on. Coles may not be aware of where its rivals are up to, but we as consumer knows what choices we do have...
